But her second song was incredible. It just really stinks that she left a mediocre impression with a so-so song when her first two performances (especially the one just prior to the mediocre one) were great.
And the winner is announced tomorrow, Eponine. The show is from 8-10 (ridiculous, I know; 2 hours of pure BS). Unless you want to see an hour and forty-five minutes of pointless montages and corny performances from random top 12ers you don't even remember (uh, who's Melissa McGhee?), just tune in for the last fifteen-twenty minutes in which the final two perform together which is usually corny but still very cute and the winner is obviously announced. I really hope Katharine shocks everyone and wins this... *fingers crossed*.

The show's called "American Idol" and we're duped into actually thinking that this show makes superstars. But aside from Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood in the country world, what kind of longevity have the others had? If America truly supports these people, they will go out and buy their records, but that usually doesn't happen.
This show is really who does America like to see on TV singing every week for free. Taylor will win because America likes watching him act like a goof, but he'll sell a very minimal amount of CDs and will get next to no air play on the radio after the intial burst of the post Idol blitz.
I like Taylor. I like his voice and I think he's a goofy guy, but it wouldn't make me run out and buy a CD or a concert ticket. I like Kat. I like Kat's voice. I think Kat is very attractive. But I see her for free every week now and I don't think I;d really go out and buy her CD or concert ticket either. Taylor should have a very good career in Vegas or Branson while Kat has the potential to make it as a pop star.

Carrie Underwood did really well at the Academy of Country Music Awards tonight. She won Best New Female Vocalist and Single Record of the Year for "Jesus Take the Wheel". I was impressed!

This was the worst final yet. Both final songs stunk and neither were sung very well. Dialidol predicts a 10% spread in Hicks' favor, and I say, who cares? I know that Kat is more talented, but this was an uphill battle for her and she didnt climb high enough last nite.

Just watched my taping of the show from last night...They really need to work on those AI songs. They just aren't good. Kat and Taylor did as best as they could, but I really didn't like them.
