I agree that Siobahn had great potential. I think in the past few weeks she's missed her mark more than she's hit it, and her lower register is kind of stuck back in her throat, but I think if she got some good lessons, she could be pretty spectacular. I'm sad to see her go, especially before that tool Michael Lynche.

Ok. Maybe I missed the background story, but was Michael Lynche adopted? Whenever they have a camera shot of his family and friends, it always looks like they went to the wrong people.

This was a very specific, constraining theme to have so late in the competition. To me, these performances showed nothing about what kinds of artists these contestants might become, and there was nothing contemporary or commercial about it.

to be fair, many pro's out there cannot emulate Frank properly or sound good doing it. the top three can still sing and as far as singing goes, sounded fine. i don't like when anyone tries to make Frank sound "today", so that bit was off.

Now they are saying next week is movie theme week with Jamie Foxx mentoring. But I'm still hearing Bon Jovi and Daughtry are performing on Wednesday. Which I guess makes as much sense as Gaga performing on Sinatra week.

By giving Big Mike the "save" the judges have become bias in favor of him. I would hope that the save rule is eliminated. Mike has run his course! His performance on Tuesday was tepid at best, and the judges gushed in support of their "save".

My teen daughters are boycotting Idol after last night's results!
