I'm not the biggest fan of Stan, a downward spiral of a fan, including disturbing abuse of his girlfriend. I'm also not the biggest fan of Nicki. My favorite is a Tinie Tempah track. However, if given the choice, I'd rather have the energy of Nicki's than Slim Shady's.

Acknowledging it is something very different than carrying out the differences, singing or rapping about your race in a proud way (that is creating a separation), or teaching your children that the world needs separate oscars while the percentage of every population is already perfectly represented in the oscars, etc, etc. That is creating separation, that is racism.

Kad, unfortunately in a world where people insist on keeping the race-separation in tact, and where people like you don't understand that.

No, we live in a world in which people like you see people who have been oppressed due to their race expressing pride in their heritage and culture as being separatist. Where people like you blithely disregard centuries of issues, because you decide that things can just be wiped clean with your blind assertion that you "don't see race." How easy it is that you "just see people" when so many of the people you look at are forced to start their race in life 100ft behind and in a hole, simply because of their race and the centuries of social construct designed specifically to hinder them and advance others. How easy it is to claim you see only a person's merit, which, naturally, you define by your own standards, which are informed by your own upbringing and -guess what!- race.

As a Nicki fan, this is just embarrassing. I mean, what was her objective here? To me, it's looks like it was "Look at how big my booty is, bitches!". her shtick is sort of getting old. It's also just lazy songwriting if you ask me. I like the production design though.

Kad, you are confusing 2 things. Taking pride in your heritage and culture is beautiful. Being proud of who you are and where you come from is beautiful.
Insisting on making duplicates of existing movies but with a whole cast of a certain race (just because of that) is not beautiful. Creating separate oscars for people with a certain race is not beautiful. Especially when the particular race is perfectly, and in this case, higher than average represented in regular Oscars. Putting words in orther forum user's mouths that they only like white people's films or raps is not beautiful. Of course I see race, I just don't act like it by creating crazy conditions to point out differences based on race, creating a separate world and sending off a wrong message to our children. Everyone that doesn't see this is garbage, and a troll, naieve and delusional.
