I think my favorite episode was the one where Buffy's mom died and they were all reacting to it. I think it was brilliant that in the midst of all the demons and spirits and supernatural dangers around the family, Buffy's mom died from a brain anyureusm (sp?), something completely normal That was one of the most painful, and yet touching episodes they ever did.
Yeah that was a good episode. Remember they still show Buffy on FX at 7:00 A.M. on monday they start the 3rd season.
Yeah, I think "Hush" was in the fourth season. That's definitely a favorite. Excellent writing (despite the lack of dialogue) and damn if those Gentlemen weren't all sorts of creepy!
Oh yeah I forgot about Hush that episode was really good to.

I have every season of Buffy and Angel on DVD. Seson's 3 and 5 of buffy were the best, seasons 4 and 6 had the best individual episodes (hush, once more with feeling, tabula rasa).
Angel was overall a better series and definately had a better ending and last season.
I used to love this show. I wasn't big with the "fandom" thing and none of my friends really watched it, but I would never miss an episode. It had such amazing writing. Matt Rousch from TV Guide was always so bitter that it never got the respect it deserved from the mainstream, through Emmys and stuff like that.
Here's a strange picture I found.
Sorry the picture did not appear.
I think because I was a lot older (same age as Giles) I never really 'got' the show until a friend of mine sent me all 7 seasons to watch in order. I really believe the writing on that show was just brilliant ('Hush' in particular). I also think that a lot of the acting was incredible - particularly SMG. Unfortunately I think she's going to be saddled with that character for the rest of her life. It's a shame.
What is James doing now that Angel is over? I never cared much for that show but I did like Spike.

James Marsters did a TV movie and I believe just finished a run on Smallville.
I miss Buffy and Angel so damn much. I have so many favorites, but I really really really miss Wes. Dopplegangland remains my favorite episode.
I had the pleasure of working on all the DVD releases of Buffy and Angel worldwide. It was definitely a labor of love.
Those shows have an unbelievable fan base.
Those DVD's are great. I wish I had them for myself. Unfortunately I had to return them to her. I love the extra material with Josh at the end.

I got your picture working. The end is supposed to be .jpg you had /jpg
I'm glad you liked them Mamie. I'm really proud of how they came out. Fox gave us the freedom (and the $$$) to put a lot of creativity and care into them.
Best12bars, do you happen to know anything about a domestic release date for the Angel Complete Series DVD set that was released overseas (and I agree with Mamie, great job on the DVDs)?

Nothing yet... but I wouldn't necessarily know that. We didn't do anything new for the Angel set in Europe. It was just a compilation release of all the previous season sets.
For Buffy, we did a special bonus disc with the complete series release. You can only get it if you by the set.

best12bars: Cool beans! =)
I, too, have worked on Buffy. I appeared on the show in the first season (the episode was "Never Kill A Boy On The First Date"), playing myself, just singing in the Bronze with my band, Velvet Chain. We did two songs, "Strong" (which is also on the the first BtVS Soundtrack Album) and "Treason." I even had a couple of close-up's! (Woo-hoo!)
After being on the show, I totally became a fan. "Hush" is probably my favorite episode.
P.S. I believe Once More With Feeling has sold approx. 150,000 copies, not 2 million. =)

Erika, "Strong" is a HOT song (I hope that isn't too forward)!

NCFan: Not at all! I totally appreciate it. I co-wrote the song with my husband in addition to singing it, so it means that much more when people like it! Thanks!
Ahh, I'm so excited you were on Buffy! I gotta go find my tape now and watch that episode. Ahh, the days when Buffy thought she'd end up with High Schoolers. Angel was still a lurker...*shiver* I love first season too.
Skittles, I'm still upset it never got what it deserved. Particularly the emmys, but also the fans. So many people never even put it on because of the title, yet almost everyone I know who gave it a chance fell in love with it.
Best12, bravo on the Buffy DVDs! I've watched all the extras except season 7, but they're some of the best extras out there. I particularly loved the Q&A panel with the 6th season DVD.

Erika, that's awesome. I became a Velvet Chain fan (and a Four Star Mary fan) because of Buffy. Your music is great!
Buffy was my favorite show ever. I miss it! I was a huge fan of Buffy and Angel's relationship, so the show definitely wasn't as good to me after Season 3, but I still loved it. Yall are making me want to go pull out my DVDs and watch it. It was the only show that could really make me tear up, like in Becoming Part II, or Suprise, or I Will Remember You, or Hero...or so many others!
Katt, I totally cried at them. I can't watch Becoming Part: II without crying and it's like, years later. I randomly found that episode on TV one day, having not watched Buffy in almost a year, and *still* ended up a weeping mess at the end. When she kisses him and tells him to close his eyes... *sniff*

I can't watch I Will Remember You anymore...because I ALWAYS cry. Always. Becoming Part II is still so sad, especially when they play Full of Grace at the end. It's such a beautiful, poignant song...but SO sad. And the Close Your Eyes score, by Christopher Beck is SO beautiful.
Oh, more sad episodes...The Body, The Gift, Passion, Innocence, The Prom. Buffy had so many episodes that moved me. I really miss this show.

Yup (hence screen name) but Angel is my favorite. Both shows had amazing story telling. I love me some Joss Whedon and will forever be in love with Wesley Wyndam Price.
