I was so happy to see Tara go. She was as annoying as Dawnie.

trivia about tara:
While speaking at the Wizard World Chicago Convention in August, 2004, Joss Whedon revealed that he had planned to bring the character of Tara back from the dead at the end of Season 7. The episode would have centered around Buffy being granted one "life-altering" wish.
Buffy would have struggled the whole episode trying to decide what she wanted to do with the wish (including, possibly, restoring Angel's humanity). The episode would have ended with Buffy telling Willow that she'd just gotten a great new pair of shoes, and when Willow asked her if she used up her wish on new shoes, Buffy would have said, "No, silly!" and stepped aside to reveal Tara.
This plan was abandoned when Amber Benson, who played Tara, was unavailable for filming.

Thank the TV Gods for "scheduling conflicts."
Instead of Tara, I would have liked to have seen LOTS more Harmony.

for those who have the dvds, what is the difference between buffy the vampire slayer -the complete series and buffy the vampire slayer- the chosen collection, both of which contain all seven seasons of the show?
i checked amazon but cannot grasp the difference.

The Chosen Collection was released more recently- it has special packaging, and 1 additional disc of extras.
Basically, a gimmick to sell more DVDs.

It looks like The Chosen Collection includes the extra bonus disc and the Complete Season does not. (CC has 40 discs and CS only has 39).

I almost want to buy the chosen collection but then I have to shake myself everytime i think like that since i have all 7 seasons and am a poor university student. I hate when they do that.
"Dont look at me that way
Your ears and your eyes
Got used to the lies
But you're getting the truth today"
"Ah the city. So many lights you can actually pretend one of them is shining on you."
CLIFF: "There was a cabaret and there was a master of ceremonies and there was a city called Berlin in a country called Germany - and it was the end of the world and I was dancing with Sally Bowles - and we were both fast asleep"

I saw the extras on the Chosen Collection...it's definitely not worth buying the whole set for if you already have the seasons.
