Watched the presentation reel, Welcome to the Hellmouth, and The Harvest.
It's The Witch time!
<--- LOVES that summer internship is over!
Maniac and I will check back later to remind you all of how much you would all love to be watching Buffy right now, too

"Shh, don't defile the holiness of Buffy with Nicole's wonky face."
or her inability to act.
"Rub it in, butthole. Rub it in."
I like it better with out the commas

It's because two of the more prominent posters on this board are busy actually WATCHING the show today. And I hate them for it.

LOL! Well, I COULD watch it right now, too... ehehe!
But to show solidarity with you I won't!
Am I a good person or not?

Oh, feel free. I'll be home in a few hours and can possibly do the same if my roommate isn't camped out on my couch in her mou mou again.

That's what happens when I'm not at work. If the cubicle did one thing for me, it was gave me plenty of time to check this thread.
When I'm at home, there is so much more to do that keeps me away from the computer...
...like watching The Witch, Teacher's Pet, Never Kill A Boy On The First Date, and The Pack...
But don't worry, GfG. We won't let this thread slip off the front page

Seriously.
Do you feel me wishing you pain with my brain? I hope you bump your big toe against your coffee table.

Well, I confess that I haven't been online very much today to contribute something to this thread, either...
"The Witch" is one of my favourites from the first season... Even though it doesn't do much for the storyarch of the season.

That's right!
But I didn't really like the way her character changed until the sixth season. It was always a little irreproducible why she implicated Willow in that "black magic" stuff...

Posted: 8/21/06 at 11:28pmI regret to say that I was never able to get into Buffy the Vampire Slayer... but Firefly was one hell of a show. A shame it got cancelled.

Not one Whedon-related post from singer of GfG all day? I'm a little disappointed in you two...
The Witch has a great introduction of Amy and magic into the series. We also watched Jenny Calendar's introductory episode. Both of those episodes play like fun filler the first time you watch, but it is so fun when you view it now in retrospect as part of Willow's magic arch. Those ideas are set into motion early.
We only wound up watching up to I, Robot...You, Jane last night, so we'll be on to season 2 by Wednesday, I should imagine.
Hope work is treating you well, singer.
Nina, while Buffy is certainly my favorite, I'm sure Firefly would have grown into quite an amazing show all on its own, given a chance to even finish a season. Love the episodes we did get, of course. Maniac hasn't watched it yet, so I hope to get that in during the next two weeks. He's just resistant to seeing Jasime and Caleb as space cowboys. But he'll see the light.

Sorry, Wyou. Tuesday mornings are a bit hectic at work. I'm sitting down to enjoy some lunch and can more fully appreciate the Buffyverse. And this here Buffythread.

"Joss whedon doesn't know it yet, but he'll be fathering my children."
I'm with you, Zoneace. Well...not really. That doesn't work so much biologically. And I don't think my fiance would be so approving. But the children will definitely be raised on Joss' shows.
Speaking of children, though, imagine what would have happened if these two (above picture) had been allowed to be together...babies in the Buffyverse...

singer also doesn't know that he's gonna father my children.

I'll get right on it.
WYou, I'm as big a fan of Jenny Calendar as could possibly be. I think I'm already on the record on this thread somewhere of how absolutely devastated I was at her death. It was done so matter-of-factly and that voice over at the end of the episode as Giles come home...goooooood god.
There are no words for my fangirlishness.
How I wish, wish, wish there had been a way for Jenny to remain.
By the way, there's fun trivia somewhere about what her name was originally supposed to be. I think, at one point, she had a different first name AND then a different last name. Isn't she listed in her first appearance merely as Miss Calendar (with no first name)?
