It would have been better if Beyonce was in it.

I'm not going to be able to watch it tonight...but I will definitely catch it when it re-runs. It looks interesting...it has a solid cast, director and screenwriter.

Cannot wait. Supposedly Rob Lowe is a scene-stealer. And Marvin Hamlisch's last contribution to film.

..ok if you are really asking, he plays the plastic surgeon. I'm on the west coast and will start it in about 30 minutes.

The makeup work on everybody is top flight, particularly in walking the fine line in how Damon and Lowe's makeup in particular are pretty ruinous while not self-consciously so. Debbie Reynolds' makeup makes her unrecognizable. She'll get nominated but it is sort of a glorified cameo.
Is it formulaic, you bet but this is one of the better stuff HBO has been a part of in the movie/mini-series rounds since John Adams.

aw Janey, I'm sorry I didn't mean anything by it. I just meant Rob Lowe wasn't that unrecognizable. Was he? Or maybe he was. He was great, though!

It was very entertaining, but made Liberace out to be a monster. Was that the point? Douglas and Damon were incredible, but Rob Lowe stole the show.
