Anyway, this episode was this year's best. Incredible performances by ALL. I wish they did more than 10 episodes per year!

I agree, SNAFU. Once he completely goes off the deep end, the rest is history. Who cares about the USB plug in or the farm?

The bummer is twofold. The season is only 10 episodes long and you have to wait forever for a new season

I am becoming curious about Norma's inevitable demise. Is it Norman or one of the sub-plots?

My guess is Norman. Those sub plots are made up for the show, but Norma was dead in Psycho. I always thought Norman killed her, but I guess we'll see.

This is what we might see in season 4. If we get a season 4. Ratings are down for this season. Seasons 1 averaged roughly 3 million viewers, while season 2 averaged 2.5 million. Season 3 is average 1.85 million viewers. A big drop, but I think the short seasons and the long gap in between hurts this show.8

I think much like 666 Park Avenue they might not do a complete 4th season but instead do a two park ending. It would be such a shame for them to just let this show go without wrapping it up.
Hell, they could almost do it in the last four episodes. Normahas been dead quite awhile when the movie takes place.
Yes Jane, after the bird taxidermy I do believe it will be Norman. Besides, that look he gave her when she was making up with her brother was spine chilling!

SNAFU I'm so glad you noticed that look. Highmore has an uncanny way of going from mild mannered innocent young man to a spine chilling demon in a fraction of a second. Oh how I love him!

The drug subplot does not help either. Just focus on Norman and his mother, have 12 or 13 episodes and not so much time between seasons. Some publicity for the show might help also.

I thought last night's episode was so "un Bates Motel" like, with the whole crowd sitting around the dinner table. Norma usually wants to be left alone. It was weird seeing her invite everyone for dinner.
And I love how Highmore played that scene with James!

I was expecting something bizarre to happen at the dinner table. Maybe it's the "calm before the storm" scenario. Simply setting up Norman to go full out crazy next week. I honestly thought he was going to kill either the psychiatrist or Norma's brother this week. It definitely feels like it's being set up for Norman to kill Caleb by the end of the season. Overall I really enjoyed last night's episode, yet I find it disappointing that there's only 3 more episodes left this season.

yeah, I felt like Norman was inwardly seething all through the dinner. I agree with you that it's building up to be the big meltdown.

WOW! I saw this episode tonight. Freaking BRILLIANT! I can see them ending this at the end of this season. BRAVO! A&E. Wait. as the season been extended for a 4th one?

Interesting article. I was assuming this season would be the last, since we're almost to the point of Norman becoming Norma. Can't imagine what two more seasons will be about and I'm a little worried those other sub plots will be explored. In either case, I'm glad my favorite show will be around for a lot longer.

last night's episode was thrilling. so much going on, I can only imagine what'll happen next week. Norman's definitely taking someone out by the time the season wraps up and I have to wonder with Norma's past unravelling what'll happen to her. Very good stuff happening on this show.
