did it seem to anyone else that the other Destiny Childs mikes werent set as LOUD as Beyonce? that was the talk in our room and we Rewound and watched it twice.

I was at work last night, so didn't see the halftime show, but I certainly enjoyed reading my Facebook feed about it. Some of the comments were quite funny. Did it really look like a certain member of Destiny's Child didn't want to be there?

Michelle was probably the one called out. She was fine until the "Single Ladies" dance. There are amateurs in the parody videos who did a better job. Kelly, however, worked the hell out of it and the whole time she was up there.

I still think Prince is the gold standard of Half-Time acts. He did it in a rain storm and somehow made a guitar interlude from Jimi Hendrix to Foo Fighters be hair-raising magnificence.

I'm not a big fan of Be-yawn-ce at all, but...damn. Whoever designed the video graphics deserves some kind of award.

The game was pretty damn good, too. And I hate football!

Several of my friends mentioned the lowered mics for the other two, also. Personally I can't stand her, so didn't pay much attention when they were on.

I'm not going to get involved in this bickering, but I thought the show was fun. And I am not really a Beyonce fan (neither like nor dislike really). Some of my prudish FB friends were saying she looked like a whore, and how are they supposed to raise their sons to respect women when they come out dressed like that? I'm like "Um, it's not her job to teach your kids to respect women, it's yours. She's a pop star. What do you expect her to wear? A mu-mu?"

Stock, I saw a similar comment from someone who lauded Beyonce for talking about the wage gap (not at the Super Bowl) and for having female musicians with her at the Super Bowl. But then she criticized her for demeaning herself with the performance. Maybe I am just desensitized but I didn't think what she was wearing or her performance was all that racy.
