Yes, I could say you are lying about who you really are, and then tell you to go jump infront of a moving bus... that would be FAR ruder.

Didn't miss the point at all. You were trying to be sarcastic and show that I am rude as well, but my point in the response was that you people have been far worse to me than I to you guys. You need to learn to read intent.

So, you calling someone a moron is not rude, correct?

I am not saying I am not being rude. I certainly if you look back did not start the rude tone. I am saying, because he said there was a double standard, that there is a major difference between the two types of rudeness. You can't just discount differences.

"I am not saying I am not being rude. I certainly if you look back did not start the rude tone."

Well, admittance is the first step.

And looking back at your first posts on this thread, while you might not consider your presentation rude, I'd say you have a fair amount of dismissive arrogance going on.

Couple that with what has turned out to be your demonstrable lack of information and comprehension capabilities, it's really no surprise that you have quickly become someone not to be afforded attention or energy.

Grow up.

So because I believe something else, I am ignorant? So, because I have gotten ruder as this thread has said more vial things about me, I am not worth time or energy? Wow. I think your the one who needs to grow up if you are being so dismissive of my beliefs, while at the same time saying I am being dismissive of (apparently) most of the people who come to these threads.

No, that is not why you are ignorant.

"I am not worth time or energy"

Finally something we agree on!

Btw, what are "vial things"? Sperm donations?

Why are you all wasting any time on someone who seems to get off on the attention?

I am sure it has a spit guard on its computer to protected it from unwanted moisture.

Wow. More annoying attacks on me that are totally unfounded. Tazber, how much did you love taking me out of context on that "I am not worth time or energy" comment. I know you probably saw that and a big grin came on your face. Also, to YouWantItWhen????, I am not exactly an "it" to my knowledge...and i don't see a spit guard infront of my computer. I know, I bet you are shocked. And I don't get off on the attention. I just enjoy political discussion... but with some of you guys... wow, it was like a war zone from the beginning! And I am sry, I meant vile, and you know it haha. And I am not sure, maybe you are a sperm donor... so maybe that is accurate?

Taz, back on topic, did you read the article from the group that ran the no on 8 Campaign basically trying to pass blame on consultants, and taking little or no responsibility for the terribly campaign run?

Oral arguments should be held next month, and we should know soon whether the courts will overturn this, or whether a new ballot initiative will be required.

I heard abour that YWIW and I thought it was so
counter-productive.
Even on here, most posters got over the blame game withone one day and started to regroup and volunteer. Taking constructive steps to win the cause.

I have no doubt that gay marriage will be legal one day, but that day would come so much faster if people would just learn from their mistakes and not dwell on them.

Yep.

This time, if the SC does not overturn, there needs to be more proactive education about what will, and will not happen if same sex marriage passes.

Many in the straight community were misinformed of the consequences, or believed that civil unions had the same legal benefits as marriage.

I actually think the ruling that permits private christian schools to expel gay students may help effort to overturn Prop 8 if folks understand that this has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with rights.

Having so many gay friends, while being straight, has been interesting during all of this - I feel like I am playing interpreter on some of the issues.
