I am replacing my assistant with an "old school" legal secretary. Known her for 20 years. Excellent skill-set. Usually some family drama. Will be a nice change!
Ack, I'm barely functioning after only 4 hours of sleep. Ms. Dazeem was in amazing voice last night, but boy can she use some coaching to help her awkwardness on stage. Her dad was in the audience.
It's been a busy few months at work, with several projects on the go at once. Wednesday will see one project - a book - put to bed. Phew! It'll be a relief and it may actually give me more time to spend here in Chez Adult!

Nope, I'm not strictly the author. I was doing research for it and somewhere along the line I was roped in to do quick edits on other peoples' stuff. I could be extremely immodest and say that some of my edits turned into complete rewrites, but I won't. It was a project that involved many people, all gifted ... just not as writers. It will be an excellent volume when it finally goes to print this week as they hired themselves a real, honest-to-goodness proofreader!
Brd, my father was a barrister. He was a leader in his field. So, every now and then, he would commandeer the dining room table to set out his notes. From the ages of eight to fourteen, I can't recall a dinner party. But I still have copies of those books!
