I am replacing my assistant with an "old school" legal secretary. Known her for 20 years. Excellent skill-set. Usually some family drama. Will be a nice change!
Not even hump day yet!

Remind me again, is she replacing The Mouse?

She's always said she has stage fright, and is very shy. With those things, funny the line of work she got into. I think she's endearing on stage.
A friend on FB from high school constantly asks or talks to friends in her multiple status updates every day.
For example, "What time are you coming over, Somms?". "Bluemoon, let's go shopping."
Why doesn't she just PM or text them??

It's been a busy few months at work, with several projects on the go at once. Wednesday will see one project - a book - put to bed. Phew! It'll be a relief and it may actually give me more time to spend here in Chez Adult!

Are you the author? I must finish a legal chapter in August BORING!
Male legal assistant is gone. He assumed that Facebook was more important the my work so "bye bye".

Nope, I'm not strictly the author. I was doing research for it and somewhere along the line I was roped in to do quick edits on other peoples' stuff. I could be extremely immodest and say that some of my edits turned into complete rewrites, but I won't. It was a project that involved many people, all gifted ... just not as writers. It will be an excellent volume when it finally goes to print this week as they hired themselves a real, honest-to-goodness proofreader!
Brd, my father was a barrister. He was a leader in his field. So, every now and then, he would commandeer the dining room table to set out his notes. From the ages of eight to fourteen, I can't recall a dinner party. But I still have copies of those books!

Brd, my dad spent his entire career at the Equity bar. Charitable Trusts, his specialty.
