How are things in Oz, Hep?
Things are warming up.
It may have been in the 90s, but the songs in the stores were all about sleigh rides and snow!

Question: Are tights and peep toe heels acceptable?

Nevermind! I decided to just show a lot of leg.
Well, good for you for answering your own questions :)
It's usually a good idea to have more than one skill.
I'm working on that m'self, Hep.
I have an eye dr. appt. this morning. What on earth was I thinking?!

Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
I finally have a morning I could sleep in, but I've been wide awake since 6:30.
At least I don't have to bound out of bed, but have a little time to just curl up with the paper and computer...
Happy Saturday.
Stay warm, everyone.
(it's chilly here in NYC!)
Addy, that sucks. I usually don't have any issues sleeping in. Which is a bit of a problem during the week.
Yay for Saturday!

I actually like the morning - and I enjoy being able to wake up a little early on Saturday so I can enjoy the peace and quiet of the morning, without having to bound out of bed and rush into the rat race. BUT, 6:30 is way too early... I would have liked an extra hour. Sleeping in can be heaven. Maybe tomorrow!
Hope your appt. goes well, Girly.
And, I agree, YAY for Saturday!!
For the adults who are still sleeping - when they rise and shine!
Enjoy!
Good morning. I've been up since around 7:15 - probably because I conked out at 8:30 last night.
Cleaning, getting organized for the grand arrival.

Yeah...totally went back to sleep. My body KNOWS - no movement before 10 am.
yeah, me and moving from bed so far have not seen eye to eye. It's just so comfy!! Late, late night last night, but very fun and spontaneous. Just what the doctor ordered. I just have to remember that when partying for 10 hours, one should consume food at some point. oops. :) Now to just kill this headache so I can do it all over again tonight!!
Waiting for the handyman to come and work on my poor, struggling guest bathroom - then off to the herbalist, errands, and then home to watch UCLA unfortunately get killed by USC.
Tomorrow is my play date with DG and the TinMan. And then I think I am going to do some baking on Monday. I have not baked in the townhouse for the holidays, which involves making about 60 dozen cookies, but I think I am going to try.
For some reason, nothing brings smiles to peoples faces like home made cookies for the holidays.
Shira, what is this stuff about Dallas? And, I will work in that stuff during the game this afternoon. Things got a bit crazy these past couple of days!
Thanks so much, YWIW.
There's an program in fitness/weight loss/wellness with the Cooper Institute. For all the BS my father spouts on a daily basis, this one is actually pretty good.
If I was offered one of the internships, I'd take it. It's DALLAS (come on, ME?), but the experience would be worth it. 3-4 months.
60 DOZEN COOKIES?
Whoa.

Shira - Dallas is just another big metropolitan city, you'll find plenty to do.
And there are cowboys
YWIW - tomorrow!
Exactly, Q. And it would be an excellent internship. I'd learn a lot and it would appear nicely on my resume (and one day grad school applications!)

Shira, would it be in the first months of the year? Cause you REALLY don't want to be there through the summer - you'ld melt.
It would be May-August.
Oh god, I'd really melt. Especially if I get wet.
BUT, it's important. And I'll have air conditioning. I hope!

"Dallas has a humid subtropical climate, though it is located in a region that also tends to receive warm, dry winds from the north and west in the summer, bringing temperatures well over 100 °F (38 °C) at times and heat-humidity indexes soaring to as high as 117 °F (47 °C)."
AC will be a MUST HAVE!
