As I jokingly tell my brother and sister-in-law, if I ever had a biological clock, their kids broke it.
No, but I'm quite satisfied with aunthood at the moment.

Dogs are a lot of work, children are easy. They are self sufficient and come with their own bank account for expenses.
Happy Friday! I really need the weekend off. Saturday we have NO plans!!!! Yea!
He makes a good point. Dogs are like toddlers that will never grow up and be able to take care of themselves. However, they're still a lot cheaper in the long run.
Shira, NO DOGS, NO BABIES!
The tallest fairy godfather has spoken.
So busy this AM! But I get to head out early!
Somms, are you taller than Q?

Only by a hair.
OK, I just had to say that.
I have two dogs and two kitties, and trust me, the novelty wears off after a while, shi shi. Love them all to pieces but yikes. And they are just pets, I couldn't imagine me with children. I can always lock the cats in a room, if I did that children I'd be arrested.

Hello, all.
Hello Deetie! The way I've been eating lately, your title may have to be relinquished. B-erp!

Hiya pal! How's it going? You're there, right?
**d2 hugs**
SOMMS, the way I've not been eating, I may relinquish the title on my own. You're welcome to it!
Yes, Moony, I'm in Florida. We're not doing a service - we'll be doing something later, in New York where most of our family still lives. It's still rather surreal, but truthfully I'm itching to get back to New York and moving on with my life. Sounds hard and cold, I'm sure, but I guess that's my way of dealing with the grief.

I think that's very common. That's the way I felt when my dad dies, although I enjoyed being with family, which doesn't happen very often. I was very relieved to resume "normal" life back home.
I think that's totally understandable.
And I'm sending you lots of love from the other side of the state. Sorry about all of the rain.

D2, I am not a hugger, but I would make an exception for you at this time. I agree that in tough times - teh regular daily tasks help smooth things over.
Damn, I missed Deet! Sending hugs anyways!

Yeah, a strange task, indeed. Is J2 with you?
No - he's in New York. He's taking the Oncology Boards on Monday - has to take them every 10 years.
It's gonna be a long weekend.

Good luck to him - he could probably write exam by now. When are you returning home?
Monday afternoon.

Ahhhh, I see. That WILL be a long weekend. I wish you a grace-filled family visit.
*sending deet hugs and martinis*
Taking a day off - I worked on Saturday, so this is not really a day off but more using my comp time (we have to use it on the same week as the extra hours worked.)
Moony, you have to work through the weekend again?
