It's Friday the 13th. I managed to take something out to the car this morning and LOCKED MYSELF OUT OF THE HOUSE. Everything I need for the day - purse, cellphone, money,etc are locked inside. At lesat I had my car keys in hand and my coat was on. I'll have to stop over to pick up a spare set from hubby, then go home and pick up the purse, etc. Just what I needed today - an hour away from the office while I run home and back.

And my first "problem child" has just been sent down to my office.

Mojito, please.

By the way, Happy Pi Day, a bit early Pi Day is March 14 (3.14) but since it falls on a Saturday this year, we're celebrating it today. And yes, there's pie.

There really is a National Pie Day. It's January 23. I heard it on the radio that morning, and meant to post, but by the time I got to work, I'd forgotten.

Happy Friday! D2, we are going to a party this weekend that we bought with our friends at a fund raiser. It should be a LOT of fun. Included was some very nice wine.

Mooney, my girls are not math saavy. We had orientation for C13 last night and her scores mirrored C15 in math - not good. C10 is a different story.

That's the case with many females, Brd. The stereotype does have some factual basis. It's balanced out by strong humanity skills - a right brain/left brain thing. My husband teaches at an all-boys school where he hears from parents, "I don't know why my son struggles so much in History and English - he's a whiz in Math!"

C15 is a project queen. She is not necessarily artistic, but she has always been able to put together book reports, science projects, etc that look perfect. C10 is a complete slob with his writing, etc. His content is top notch, but yikes, the kid can barely color in the lines. But, he is a powerpoint pro at age 10!

C13 was off 3.5 days this week with the flu and that other thing I mentioned.

My daughter was diagnosed in Kindergarten with severe small motor problems. To this day her handwriting is unintelligble, though I THINK she managed to finally color within the line sometime in high school. Maybe. Thank goodness she was always allowed to type her work on computers - otherwise no teacher would have ever been able to read a word she ever wrote.
