He might come over tomorrow, which would be nice. It was a "maybe" after all.
My Mom bought me a 1,000 piece puzzle, which we idiotically decided to start. 5 hours, two mini bundt cakes, and some serious back pain, and we're still not done. Darn if we're not addicts. At one point my Mom looked at me and asked if we were crazy. Silly rhetorical question!
We're finishing that thing by Wednesday. We just are. Neither of us can stand it just sitting there unfinished!

Good day friends! A meteor shower hit us last night!
It was freaking unbelievable. There was the huge light followed by a super-sonic BOOM.
I believe most of it was incinerated in the atmosphere, but some pieces did hit.
A refrigerator size chunk landed in my neighbor's yard!
They say had the meteor actually hit, it would have caused a nuclear size blast.
Can you imagine?!

Honestly, I would have too if I had known what it was.
I thought it was thunder and lightning. My windows rattled and I was like, "damn! that was some thunder clap".
Then I heard voices and all the neighbors were outside.
So of course I went out an everyone was ooohing and ahhhing. By the time the fire dpt arrived we were all sufficiently freaked out.
