I love Manhattan in the fall. It's my favorite time of year in the Northeast.
The last weekend in September in usually the BCEFA Flea Market, isn't it? THAT'S always fun. I'm sure they've set the date for it already.
But if you guys are starting in DC and working your way up to NYC, I don't see how I can lose!

DC and NYC with important friends sounds like a MUST!
I hope so DG. I'd hate to see him give up the stage altogether. He did a bit of theatre work out in your area before coming back here so there's no reason he couldn't do it again. I'm being extremely selfish when I think of it though. I know I won't be able to see it and that makes me sad. In truth though, I have to agree with him completely. And I really can't blame him for wanting to be 'Joe Homeowner' now. (He can't wait to get back to his house and start tearing it up. He has DIY cravings!)
SO - it's settled. October and DG and DD come to DC (I'm in a D rut here) and then on to NY! (DD - aren't you coming this way for Christmas?)
*makes mental note for future discussion*
Well, I just got in and am stepping out for a bit.
Have a great evening all.

Mamie - I PROMISE that if I see him, I'll give a big hug for you!
But running my fingers through that HAIR will be for me
He had it cut pretty short last month! (But he still looks great, of course!)
The man hasn't an ounce of ego - he'll probably show off his thinning-soon-to-be-bald spot. But right now it is rather impressive!
(did you see the picture of that pup down on the "peace sign" thread? TOO FUNNY!)

Penny - having met me, you know it's all relative
Mamie - yes, I saw the puppy - and I was jealous!
Mamie, I just noticed that you and I joined the board within something like 10 days of each other.
Oh yeah- so we did. Sometimes it seems like I just came here a few months ago. It definitely doesn't feel like 2 years.

Penny - so did I (with you and Mamie, that is) - you just can't tell it from this account.
Regarding the KC "Mame" production...Mamie, have you seen the latest catalog?
There's a fabulous photo of Ms. Baranski in a red gown and platinum blond hair. Her head is thrown back and she's laughing. The thing I noticed though is that you can see all of her top FILLINGS! Wouldn't you think that the graphic artist would air brush the fillings?
Ah yes. I do recall the "old" you and then the "reincarnated' you. I was happy that you didn't go away for good. The Phoenix!!!
Do you remember your actual start date?
I don't know what happened to my catalog. I know it was here but I can't find it now. You're right though - you'd think they would have touched it up a bit. Anyway - it sounds like she looks FABULOUS. I've never seen MAME on stage and I'm really looking forward to this one!
I think I'd better try to get some sleep myself. I don't know what I'm going to do when I have to start getting up at 5 am for work! It's going to be might rough for a while.
Talk to you tomorrow. Good night!
Me too. zzzzzzz.
UGH! I spotted a mouse a few aisles away from me this morning!! Hope it stays over that way, if it insists on being here.

Morning.
The water company crew that's replacing pipes in the neighborhood cut a main phone line yesterday - but this wasn't discovered until after they had patched the asphalt. So at 10pm last night they started the jack-hammering again to get back in and fix the problem. I wasn't very happy about that.
And we found out we have to replace the trans-axel transmission on the van - to the tune of 3500 dollars. I wasn't very happy about that either.
BUT, it does look like another glorious day here, so I might just say 'screw it' to everything and just lay in the sun by the pool and drink Pinot Grigio whilst looking through catalogues.
That was my last week DG. A hit and run driver took out the telephone pole (snapped it in two) in front of my house and I didn't have power for 7 hours. Lost the fourth mailbox in the three years that I've lived here. The poles and the boxes aren't cheap! Then took the car in for inspection and had to pay $1,250 to get it back. I think I'll go plop my ass in the bird bath and drink tequilla shots.
