I had a small burst of energy yesterday and got a few things done... but then paid for it with a long nap.
I'm taking it one day at a time.
...and not worrying about the things not getting done. Eventually they will.
...and just because it's always a good thing to start the day off with a song:
Tra la! It's May!
The lusty month of May!
That lovely month when ev'ryone goes
Blissfully astray.
Tra la! It's here!
That shocking time of year
When tons of wicked little thoughts
Merrily appear!
It's May! It's May!
That gorgeous holiday
When ev'ry maiden prays that her lad
Will be a cad!
It's mad! It's gay!
A libelous display!
Those dreary vows that ev'ryone takes,
Ev'ryone breaks.
Ev'ryone makes divine mistakes
The lusty month of May!
...and the next verse:
Tra la! It's May!
The lusty month of May!
That darling month when ev'ryone throws
Self-control away.
It's time to do
A wretched thing or two,
And try to make each precious day
One you'll always rue!
It's May! It's May!
The month of "yes you may,"
The time for ev'ry frivolous whim,
Proper or "im."
It's wild! It's gay!
A blot in ev'ry way.
The birds and bees with all of their vast
Amorous past
Gaze at the human race aghast,
The lusty month of May.
MOM,
I'll be in town on May 21st too!
Hi, all! Sorry to hear you're not well. Get better!
Penny
OMG! It's the elusive Miss Pennywise!
Not elusive, Shamey...reclusive!
But I'm coming out of it. Only 17 more days before I know what happens.
The weekend following their decision, I'll be in NYC, so I will either be celebrating the known or the unknown!
The anxiety is really affecting my health.
I know the waiting has to be torture, but I'm glad you're coming out of it. We miss you around here.
OOPS!! Made a boo-boo the field trip is the 20th, Faith Healer is the 27th. Man I need more coffee!
Oh, Mom! You are such a tease!
Thanks, Shamey. I miss all my friends, too. Even when I'm with people, my mind is still in "worry mode." I have to work on that.
Wow! a tease? Haven't been called that is such a long time!!
Mom, at least we were called that at some point in our lives, right?
Glad I could cheer you up.
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.!
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.
Boobs, are you breaking up with me?
Ain't that just like a man! Fulfill his needs and then he gives you the old "People come into our lives ..." speech.

Wow, Boobs - beautiful. How do come up with something like that on a Monday morning? I'm still puzzling over whether to put Equal or Splenda in my coffee today.
I got that email from a couple of friends, Boobs. I loved it.
Shamey...I have a feeling you might be a lifeime friend...I know most of the posters on this thread are.
Cookie!
*smooch*

"Of course we have our differences
You shouldn't be surprised
It's as natural as changes
In the seasons and the skies
Sometimes we grow together
Sometimes we drift apart
A wiser man that I might know
The seasons of the heart"
- John Denver
Happy thread today.
*group hug*
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
Because I know you.
I have been changed.
For good.
