Oh, it really was! I wasn't sure what to expect, as people seemed confused by the whole fifties cocktail thing. But you should have SEEN some of these women - it was fabulous!

That sounds like sooo much fun. I can relate to the 50's thing. Were they dressed in 50's style? I could use a good party myself. I am going to DC for the MAME weekend which should be a great time.

As I mentioned earlier, someone showed up in a vintage Cassini - you just don't compete with that. Although, you should never compete with the hostess anyway - especially on her home turf!

The "election" doesn't happen until November, and it is my most sincere and heartfelt wish that most of the incumbents get their butts kicked.

I have learned that there ARE a few--very few--truly honorable politicians. I estimate 3%.

The important thing is this: I am spending a month in France this summer!
