I'm starting to like this thread. And normally I avoid second hand smoke.
Thank you Dame - the scary lady is gone for at least a little bit.
Leona = the Anti-Audrey
She really is.
Those pictures of Audrey are all just exquisite. I particularly love the one of her with the flowers...
In fact, it might make a wonderful avatar...

Real beauty never dies.
This picture makes me weep for all that we could be.
I still think we can.
That picture is glorious.

See what happens?!?!?
I REALLY need to get some things done - but then I start looking at and sharing pictures of Audrey, and the time slips by - QUICKLY!
I should head to bed...
Thank you for the Audrey love!
Sweet dreams to all.

I don't want to go too far with this, but what I love about her eyes is that you can see the painful past. But she showed that, by CHOICE, you can learn to live with it and carry on - and that is the power I see - peaceful acceptance.
I should be so lucky, in the end.
She was a very devoted mother, too. She put her children before her career. Her sons have never said an ill word about her.
I respect people who give up fame, glamour, attention and money to be human.

". . . to be human."
That would be the key, Miss Penny - the 'tie that binds us all'.
Hope you are well - you're certainly enjoying your late nights!
At least I HOPE you're enjoying them . . .
Ok... I just tried watching the dvd of 'Victor/Victoria.' I love the movie, but the musical just didn't... I don't know. Was it maybe the video? Could it have been much better in person? The songs were ok, the choreography was very cool, Julie was... well, Julie... yet the show didn't impress me.

DD - I did think the sets were impressive - and it actually transferred better to stage than I ever thought it would. The woman playing the 'moll' did a creditable job.
Ultimately, I REALLY missed Robert Preston and James Garner.
Which led me to think I didn't approach it with very much objectivity. I don't think it was very overwhelmingly received - except for Julie. But people would have paid to see her stand there and be Julie.
I would have, anyway
I'm watching Kathy Griffin on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" it's interesting.

I didn't mean to sound dismissive of her... I would have paid big bucks to see her.
ACTUALLY, we did pay big bucks to see her. The first stop (or one of the first stops) of the tour, with her in it, was supposed to be Seattle. We got our tickets and everything. Then she had the botched surgery and they gave refunds for the show, or we could see whoever it was playing the part. I wondered if I should have seen it, but now I'm kind'a glad we got the refund.
Good morning gang !!! The coffee is brewing and I baked a strawberry cheesecake for all of you...enjoy !!!
I can't eat cheesecake this early.
I'm sure Moony can though.
Ah Auntie Rath, a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips!
You would know.
I am a lean, mean fighting machine. I am in the best shape of my life.
Staying away from cheesecake does wonders! You should try it!
Maybe we can workout together? I'll be happy to teach you a few little workout tricks.
