North - there's no place like home
Girly - I KNOW!!!! I'm so excited! I actually hope that it will eventually be offered on DVD. I'm going to tape it, of course, but I'd like a pristine copy to keep forever!
DG - You know, that avatar has ALWAYS been my favorite one of yours, also.
Girly - Hooray for "Piazza"! For some reason, neither one of our 2 PBS stations is running this program live in Atlanta. We have to wait until Sunday for 'Live' at Lincoln Center. Hmmm. I guess I can wait a few more days for my Vicki Clark fix.
OMG...Piazza is on PBS...and...and...please, please, gods of PBS...release it on DVD.

Jungle - when we saw it again this year, we sat second row center - and watching Victoria from right there was one of the best theatrical experiences of my life. Coupled with our instant infatuation with Mr. Lazar (OH MY GOD!!!) it was pretty overwhelming.
DG..lots of hugs and kisses to my adopted father from me. Tell him I'm so happy and proud of him !!!
Jungle..I'm in the air for 19 hours....it's supposed to be the longest non-stop flight in the world. I leave Newark on the 22nd at 11 pm and arrive in Singapore on the 24th at 6 a.m. I lose Friday. The good news is I'm supposed to have internet access..so who's gonna stay up and post all night with me....hmmmm..anyone? Bueller?
I have tickets for the final performance of Piazza. Third row, center. *grabs tissues just thinking about it*
Also, the AFI 'Most Inspiring Movies of All Time" is on tonight... I wonder if they'll make me cry?
That would be me, I'm sure. You know I'm always up!

Addy - the ADS made me cry!
Piazza...finall....WHEN?
...me, too.
I think I'd better open up a fresh box of Kleenex...
Shira, Piazza closes on July 2nd.
*gasp*

Speaking of watching and crying, I think I did my mother in during her trip! LADIES IN LAVENDAR, Hugh's OKLAHOMA - and the SOUTH PACIFIC concert (she has a history with the show - coming of age scenario - and that always stays with you.) PLUS, she didn't know who Stokes was - but she sure does now, let me tell you! I thought she was going to claw her way into the TV
I arrive home on July 2nd.
LOVE Piazza..thanks to DG who made sure I got to see it. I will always think of him when I watch it or listen to the cast recording.

Piazza is precious to me.
Boobs - Man that is a long flight! I guess you need Cookie's pillow more than I do! Be sure to stretch the legs often. I haven't decided if I am taking my laptop with me to Maui, yet. It's a tough call.
DG - My seats for Piazza were 2nd row Center/Right, so I know what you mean. I felt I was in the middle of the action at the Beaumont Theatre - only I wasn't properly dressed in 1953 period couture.
Alas, thank goodness for PBS.
The tour is coming to LA on November. But, I would have love to see in on BW.

I'm excited to see the tour - I'm curious how it will travel - especially to a proscenium setting.
Now you made me go and get my dictionary!
BTW - Congrats to your other half!
The Piazza CD has been in my car CD player for MONTHS and MONTHS. I never tire of Adam Guettel's glorious score.
The tour comes to Atlanta in early October. Has the cast been announced???
Each time I see it, Jungle I fall in love with it even more...
And the score NEVER gets old. In fact, quite the opposite. It becomes more dear to me.
