DD: I said that with my spanish accent and didn't quite get it...
Well... it was a mouthful for me.
I'm not even going to try to jump in... there have been about 15 different conversations going on here at the same time.
Just wanted to say hi.

Addy - AMADEUS last night was enjoyable, just a little 'odd'. It seems like an interesting concept - to present excerpts from the play, leading to fuller performances of the incidental music - but in the end, I felt like I didn't get enough of either (the play or the music.) The cast was exceptionally prepared and ready, which helped. Mr. York was greatly committed to the event - in fact, pretty much carried most of the weight - but God love him, he's just a little 'long in the tooth' to believably carry off Salieri. Neil was adorable as Mozart - and proved again that he is the absolute embodiment of ernest goodness on stage. I think he should have starred in a revival of LOOK HOMEWARD ANGEL as Eugene - a perfect match of actor to character.
Overall, it was a success for us because it was a beautiful evening, the crowd was warm and welcoming, the music (what we heard of the pieces) was beautifully played and sung, and the actors were so into what they were doing.
Thanks, DG.
Did your brother enjoy being there?
I could see Neil doing that! Perfect!

Addy - he DID have a good time. We got there early, and found a perch overlooking the hill leading to the entance, so we could watch everyone arrive (while enjoying the wine and beer, of course!) Then we went in, and he was pretty overwhelmed by the scale of it all - like most people are. There ended up being about 11,500 in attendance, so it was a good 'communal' experience. Then we went to the Abbey for cocktails and Canter's for after bar nosh, so he was a happy camper - fully 'LAified'

Actually, he'll be heading off to Arizona tomorrow (he's been here since July 6th!) Tonight, we're going to go over everything he set up with our system and the TinMan's site, just so I know what's going on.
This is the closing weekend of TinMan's HAMLET, so we'll have the closing night party to go to tomorrow - and then Ian on Sunday!!! (I'm just a LITTLE excited about that )
oh - I've lost track of time! I remember when he was arriving for TinMan's HAMLET!
Hope you've been having a wonderful visit.
And...sounds like you have fab weekend plans.
Dropping in to hug all!
Happy Friday beautiful people. :)
