I haven't been in DC since I left - a little over 25 years ago! It was always my favorite city, and I was always afraid of what happened under Marion's idiocy. The only real shots I've seen of it were in FAHRENHEIT 9/11, and I just cried - even though I understood the resoning behind all the 'security'.

But Mamie's gorgeous pics of the blossoms this year almost made me go right to the airport and fly there immediately.

And NOW there's the enticement of some wonderful BWW family to meet! The TinMan has never really spent time there, so it's something I definitely want to share with him.

Addict, it's wonderful to have you around more this summer.

Not sure I would call it an extravaganza, PJ, but the time spent with friends was lovely.

DG, I'm sure you and the Tin Man would enjoy a return visit... just don't go in the heat of summer! Or, make sure you have a hotel room with good AC!

DD, glad you have your home connection fixed. I had some help on Friday with mine...so now I have options when mine starts to act up.

Girly, there is nothing like the news of an impending birth. Except maybe for the happy announcement of the birth itself!

We are hoping too again this summer. BGG needs to tour a few places (NYU, Hofstra and Pace) but this weekend was a blast and one that she will remember for a very long time.

Hee hee she was so shocked when the A101 appeared on stage! (ala deer in the headlights!) I think my hand has finally recovered from being squished so hard!!
