Addy...
I'm thinking I want Hollywood to make a big screen version of "Here Come the Brides"...the first episode fleshed out with the arrival of the girls.
I want Hugh Jackman to play one of the Bolt brothers.
Yes...I want that very much.

Just got back from my British 4th of July party. 95% of the people were Brits and they had all English food.
The fireworks barges literally anchor outside my friend's balcony.
You too, Addy! Don't stay up too late!
I know, Harris.
Now I'm really going to bed.

wexy: That sounds very much like an anti-Independence Day party! The subversion of it all! And yet, it sounds fantastic!
Lucky you, wexy!
I think fireworks are just about at the top of my list of my favorite things... just about.

Cookie, the first time I went to my friend's party, I asked if they were mourning the loss of the colonies. She said that were over the Revolution.
Hey Addy, the fireworks were great but the condiments were extremely weird.
goodnight girly! *squoosh*
Addy: More than Hugh? More than chocolate? More than champagne? More than foie gras?

i'm trying to get buzz for my b-day because i'm trying to get the musical rights sold .

I promise, Girly!
Wexy, I don't like condiments anyway!
Yes, Cookie. More than all of those things!
Wow!
I think I must head to bed myself...
Goodnight adults!
*pecks Addy goodnight on the cheek*
'night, Cookie.
*smooch*
Lovely evening... went to a party in a building from which we could see BOTH fireworks displays. Way fun!
Hi, DD!
Since it rained on and off during the day, we had a big indoor picnic and watched movies on a giant TV. It was like being at Wolf Trap! We put a blanket on the floor and used the "backpack picnic set" we have. (My son ate his popcorn with a plastic fork.) Then we went to see fireworks. They were splendid. All in all, it was a lovely day.
I'm glad your day was lovely as well!

Penny - I saw Pavarotti at the original Wolftrap before it burned - one of the greatest evenings of my life! I never did get to the new one (which is old at this point, I guess!)
Hi, DG!
You know, it's too bad this area is so immersed in politics (especially when "they're" in office! ) because it really is quite beautiful and has so much to offer in the way of culture. As a displaced New Yorker, I have high standards, and I find the DC-area quite enriching. It's certainly better than a lot of other places one could live in the US.
I think if (or more likely "when") I move, it'll be to the Hudson Valley. That way I'll have the NYC culture but "nature" as well!
Did you have a good day? Eat any popcorn with a plastic fork?

Penny - DC was my favorite city. I only say 'was' because it's been so long since I've been there. The museums alone would give it that distinction for me - and the Smithsonian is a church.
Our day was . . . interesting. We had a lazy morning, that led into a lovely afternoon barbecue with friends in their new home (built in 1918 - amazing - all the original woodwork!) But THEN, we came home to messages that the partners mother had been taken from the nursing home to the hospital. That led to a couple of hours spent where and how we hadn't envisioned. Everything turned out OK, but it kind of put a damper on the day.
DG,
I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles today. I will send positive thoughts your way and keep you all in my meditation tonight.
It's good that it turned out okay, but these things are never easy or fun.
XOOO
Penny
DG.. so sorry to hear that. I hope things are better.
Sorry to hear, DG.
Penny - HI! Sorry, was checking other email. Your day sounds lovely. I miss Wolf Trap. I used to go at least once a summer. It definitely has to be one of my favorite venues of all time. Too bad I mostly go to DC when Wolf Trap is closed.
I went to play mini golf with my friend for his birthday, then we took him for a great dinner at a restaurant overlooking Elliot Bay. Quite good!
DD,
I hear you may be around these parts at Xmastime. I hope you can fit in a visit with me.
Most definitely, Ms. P. Most definitely!
I had hoped to go in the Fall if my sister was going to be away for the holidays, but now that she's staying in DC I'll go then instead. It adds to the holiday spending it my niece/goddaughter.
It's a date then! (I often go to NYC for the holidays since my sister still lives there, but I'm staying home this year.)
I guess i should try to get some sleep now, eh?
Goodnight, DD (and DG, if you're still out there!)
