Mommy porn?

Everywhere I go I get asked if I've read it, so I popped it on my library queue. I'm in no rush.

I can't be bothered reading the next 2 in the trilogy. Maybe someday if I ever get a beach vacation.
A friend suggested that the popularity has spiked because with e-readers people can now read it out in public without having to hide the 'mommy porn'. Nobody knows what's on the e-reader.
Today is TOO hot for April. And there is too much to do.
But other than that, happy Monday.

Basically, it is Twilight with the twist of kink. Innocent girl, dreamy dark dangerous stranger with a damaged, horrible past - can this one girl break through all of his demons and allow him to be loved ... I just wish there was a bit more actual character development. After a while I was like "come on, don't these people get tired?"
I have a feeling the writer went to Wikipedia and used it as her point of reference. That, and urban dictionary.
And Addy, I heard that as well.
But, being able to download a book in less than a minute is pretty amazing. I am trolling through Amazon's free books to see what I have not read before (first up, Dracula).
And Tink, if you want it, I would be happy to mail it to you.

The plot traces the relationship between recent college graduate Anastasia Steele and manipulative billionaire Christian Grey. Steele is required by Grey to sign a contract allowing him complete control over her life. As she gets to know him she learns that his sexual tastes involve bondage, domination and sadism, and that childhood abuse left him a deeply damaged individual. In order to be his partner she agrees to experiment with BDSM, but struggles to reconcile who she is (a virgin who has never previously had a boyfriend) with who Christian wants her to be: his submissive to do with as he pleases in his "Red Room of Pain.
Truthfully, after a while the 'porn' becomes too repetitive. I kept hoping there would be more character development, but, I guess that's not what this kind of story is about.
The next two books in the series are 'Fifty Shades Darker' and 'Fifth Shades Freed'. As I said, one was enough. Unless I find myself on some exotic island at some point in the near future.
YWIW, I think you're right about Wikipedia and urban dictionary!

By the way, I'm convinced that Colin and I are related through my father's grandfather, Maurice Farrell from Ireland. I'm desperately searching for the link.

Chris Evans might work. Or Liam Hensworth.
As for the young woman - with all of the lip biting, it just begs for Kristin Stewart...

We had a delightful Saturday weather-wise, yesterday was chilly in the morning and warm (60s) in the afternoon, today back to the Northwest spring - lots of rain and cold. I hope we see warmth again sometime before July.

"Mommy" has three Ms in it. AND she has at least one kid.
God, that book sounds insufferable. OF COURSE he suffered child abuse! Because you can't have a healthy normal childhood AND be into S&M. Ugh. Just read Exit to Eden (but skip the movie).

Most books that claim to be "racy" do get boring after a while. Only so many ways to describe genitalia lol. The Black Cloak Brotherhood (or something like that) was a good vampire porn series, but once again, got repetitive and the chick was just damn annoying after awhile.
that is a very nice offer YWIW, but I'm not in that much of a rush to waste on postage lol.
And I never want to see Kristen Stewart on my movie screen again after Twilight. It's hard enough to sit through those with her.
