I'm skipping today's tech seminar. Yesterday's offering were a huge waste of my time. Fool me once....
I also need to finish writing an article on student government for our upcoming magazine. I's actually rather waste time in tech class, but blank pages in magazines look really bad.

Boobs - Hubby is struggling with the same cough. We think we has a low-grade sinus infection.
Tiday is my last day in the office before vacation and that fact suddenly dawn on everyone else yesterday. Hence, I have 3 meetings today between 8:00am and 9:00am. Then things will get hectic.
Remind me again - why do I go away for a week?

Its weird how we look forward to vacation, but we know the consequences we must endure when we get back.

J2 just finished his service period and is taking tomorrow and Friday off. A nice long weekend with lots of fun, special plans.
Oh, and a new job is in the offing. Probably by fall. And it doesn't require moving anywhere.

This is not my morning. I feel like crap and my ring is missing. Trying to listen to happy music and do things to pull me out of mini-funk but not working. Moony - do you still have Saint Anthony on speed dial?

It is sad, but the highlight of my day yesterday was getting an e-book notification from the library, and watching my Zs go crazy over a catnip drenched scratcher.
And Deet - sounds lovely.

Dear Co-workers - Please stop dropping projects and paperwork on my desk that cannot be finished within the next 3 hours. Thank you.

(edit - the photo didn't work...)
Moony, just tell them NO!
And, have an awesome vacation. Enjoy every moment, and hope it's alot cooler there than here!
Holy hell it's like trying to breathe sludge out there. The air is so thick with heat and humidity. I'm actually glad to be in an air coditioned office!

But, as Addy said, it was like sludge out there before -- I decided I didn't care where Max did his stuff today, we were both so miserable on our post-lunch walk.
Got home, put down the pad, stayed indoors and we're both happy.

We're supposed to take off on vacation in an hour, but that remains to be seen. Hubby woke up sick and I'm trying to get him to see the doctor before we leave, even if it means delaying out trip by a day. The sinus meds he's taking aren't doing squat and he looks and feels horrible. No way to be during vacation - or any time, really. We'll see what part of him wins iout - his stubborn nature or his congested head.

Oh, and g'morning.

It's cooler here but still humid -- it's like walking into a wet towel.

So, obviously, we're not on the road - yet. Hubby got an 8:30 doctors appointment and will, hopefully, come back loaded with good drugs. We should be on the road by 10:30 - I hope.

Oatmeal with cinnamon and a bit of brown sugar here.
Zander is sleeping on my birthday Winnie the Pooh blanket my assistant made for me (it is freaking adorable). Another thing claimed for Zanderland.

I've been seizing my post-Upfront freedom this week!
On Tuesday evening I was invited to a small party at Henri Bendel's to have custom-made sandals made by Tuccia di Capri! Ooh la la. A glass of prosecco (or three) and custom made Italian sandals! Fun. I settled on a medium-wedge with cream leather and gold chain wrap. I figure they'll be a blend of casual and dressy. (check out the Capri Classics in the link below)
Last night I was invited to dinner at The Modern (Heaven! Complete with Truffle cart at the end of the meal), and then to see HARVEY at the Roundabout Theatre. Such a sweet show. Jim Parsons and Jessica Hecht were wonderful. Great comedic timing with a blend of humanity and sweetness. The sets were perfect. Enjoyable show.
Tonight is dinner at Rosa's! Margaritas and guacamole! Can't wait!
Next week it's back to the Windy City for a week of meetings and presentations, so I'm packing as much 'real life' into this week as I can.
How about that storm last night? I was heading to dinner when it really started to crack. The subway was flooded. Just gross.
Boobs, hope you're feeling a little better. Summer bugs are never fun.
Hope everyone has something fun planned for the weekend.

Do we know if Moony got off? Not Fred Willard "off".
