Morning peeps! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine went too fast as usual. I did spend a lovely Sunday in the cemetery taking pictures of family head stones. After many years I found my great-grandmother's plot again. She died when my grandfather was only a month old. His witch of a step mother did not want the rest of the family buried with her, so she is not in the family plot. I wish they would have put her maiden name on the stone. I can only go by what grandma told me now. Her daughters also put the wrong month she died. They have February 1904 on the stone which is impossible being grandpa was born in April 1904. Good times!

Great job, Tink! Wish I could say the same, but it's hard to talk with a donut in your mouth.
Spent the weekend without internet and somehow survived.Should be up and running by the time I get home (Verizon cut into a cable in the neighborhood). Kind of freeing to spend a few days without checking on people's status updates.
Boobs - I love the way you've taken to the geneology project!
Moony, I love it! It takes me in so many directions. Saturday I got in touch with some older cousins to get their parents and siblings b-day and deaths. Of course there are conflicting dates from what the Census reads. I'm going off the tombstones in most cases, except for my great grandmother's LOL

It is fun, isn't it? I wasn't giving up until I found my mother's family living in France. I finally found the guy who got on the boat to Canada in the mid 1500's. We're like the Jamestownians of Canada. I've traced my off-the-boat English grandmother's family back to 14th century France. Oddly, I can't get past three generations on my father's Irish side.
I can't wait to get into the Italian records...that should be fun. I know that both sides of my mother's family came from the same town. My father's side I have no idea. Do they have records from Hell?

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)
SOMMS - you've got to help me find Neil/Neal/Nal Landry. I can't believe he's not listed in the 1881 Canadian census. I've hit a brick wall with his wife, Philamene/Philomena/Philamena Brine/ Brian/Briant too. 'Morning, Deet!
I've hit a brick wall with the Landry's also. Damn that Calixte and his common name. Worse though, are the Bedards in Quebec. Can we say, Smith and Jones in Qubcois?
You should stop by more often. You know you can always find us here. It's been a little bit quiet being work seems to get in our way, but someone is always home

I too have been bit by the ancestry thing. Unfortunately CR records are not part of the whole ancestry.com thing. Yet. I need to find more info from my mom's side of the family, based on an uncle's work we know my dad's.

DD- CR records aren't included in the international section or do you just have a US membership? I had to upgrade my membership to access Canadian records (not that it helped).
My grandfather (paternal) did a search of our family about 10-15 years ago. I would have no problem learning that side - my maternal side, not so much. I think ignorance is bliss on that one.
I started watching "8" during lunch and will finish it later. Very well done and acted so far..... and on a completely personal note - Matt, Matt, and George sitting next to each other. *sigh*
BroadwayBoobs: I'll give all of you who weren't there a hint of who took the pictures ...it rhymes with shameless
I was playing during lunch ... Dear State of Massachuesetts Records Department, three records, three spellings. Please choose one. Flebott, Flobette and Filobette. None of which moved me any further. Le sigh.
