I love the idea of that app, by the way1
I'm sure that's it, Moony.
I wonder what they were mourning last week, and what they'll be mourning next week.
And I really love the app. It's so concise I'm able to have all my class information in one place, with everything connected.
They're all freaking now because they have a major deadline for me and a major deadline for another prof today. The room is humming. I'm just letting them do their work.

How many have shown up now?
Work.
Pretty much sums it all up.
Back in NY.
Frustrating call this morning. I volunteered to spearhead something (well, volunteered after I was kind of told they'd planned on my doing it) last July - little knowing how life would twist and turn and how my time would be consumed with new issues. As soon as I realized that I wouldn't be able to take the lead on this project, I reached out to see if someone else could spearhead so I could take a 'committee' postion instead of being the chair. The call this morning basically culminated in nobody else stepping up, I'm still in charge, and people are annoyed that nothing has been done... (This is not work related, by the way). I'm very frustrated. I hate feeling like I've let anyone down, but thought it was clear that I wouldn't be able to do what I was asked to do originally... Guess I now have to find time to get done in a short amount of time something that could have used months to organize.
I need a vacation.
And, I want to just go home tonight and watch all the shows on my DVR that I missed this past week!
Deet, sounds like a productive day - and I love that app, too!
Tink, your story made me laugh.
I need to join Somms in that yoga class. I need to get my a$$ kicked into gear...
Memories from the past. The Monkees, Partridge Family, Brady Bunch, etc. All good ones. Sad to hear that Davey Jones has passed. He was a "Tiger Beat" crush.
I hate when that happens, Addy!
20, Moony.
I am in SUCH a bad mood because of it.
And, I'm rarely in a bad mood.
I need to go walk this off.

Addy, I am taking a few years off of spear-heading any function! This is our 14th and final year at the grade school and I have either chaired or was the MC for about 20 major fund raisers!

Well, 4/5 of a class isn't too bad when it's nice outside, I guess. Lordy.
Addy - I LOVED Tiger Beat - and 16, too! 16 Magazine always came out on the 21st of the month and my friend Cathy and I would wait all day long in class, watching the hours tick by so slowly. When the school bell rang at 3:00pm we'd race over to the local drugstore to grab a "fresh" copy off the news stand. I had a huge collection at one point until my *%##^&** mother threw most of them out. She called them my "Monkee magazines".
Addy, it took me a very long time to learn, say and stick by the word "NO." My life is so much better because of that 2 letter word.
Brd, I think I'm going to step back, as well.
Moony, you and I lived the same life
"NO" is a good word.
I have to remember that...
Being a "pleaser" in my personal life had been a lifelong stuggle for me until a few years ago when I finally grew a pair. Unfortunately, it's taken longer at work. Until ... last week I YELLED "NO!!!!" to my boss and his boss after an unreasonable request that with proper communication from them could have been completely avoided. It blew them back about a foot and they're still a bit in shock. But, it drove the point home and they'll think before pulling that kind of crap again.
We need a "Just Say No" framily gathering at Deets. He can give a Master Class.

Addy - I concur with everyone on the use of NO. Somehow the minute I turned 50 I gave myself permission to 'no' a lot more often - and never feel badly about it. It's been a great freedom.
NO is my favorite word.
Well, my favorite two-letter word.
Good morning peeps and peepers.

Morning! Happy Friday!!
I think Gym Crush is subconsciously stalking me at the gym and not realizing it. Every time I looked up, there he was.

Well, if you took the rope off his neck, maybe he wouldn't be there so much.
Long day here - especially for a Friday! We have our Freshman Class Dance tonight, so I'll be here until 11:00pm. Not that I had anything else planned, of course. I'd just rather not spend the evening in the company of a couple hundred 14 year-olds.

touche, moony. But actually no, I'd prefer he wasn't there. I'm not the essence of femininity and grace while training. More like primal and banshee like.

Maybe he's into that. Kinky, no?
I've always suspected Tink's a top.
Mornin'
*coffee snort all over new jeans*
D2, ha, yeah, without a doubt.
Primal and banshee? Isn't this a family viewing timeslot?

Not when Tink's in the house.
Hiya, Hep! It's the weekend for you now!
and since she's the youngest in the bunch ... well ...
