I'm still a little miffed at one my Angeleno friends for joking that the only celebrities in the Washington, DC are "ugly politicians and dead interns".

Posted: 7/17/08 at 3:48pmI was born and raised in L.A. I never left until I was 27. I'm in New York now and only sometimes do I get homesick. Like when it snows. I miss my friends and family but not much else. I don't know why I don't ache for my home town. Aren't you supposed to? Wherever you are from?

After 21 years living in the "LAND OF LA" I'm ready to get out.
I like it for all the reasons D2 and DG listed, but I also dislike it for reasons mentioned in this thread.
And I am in the business... and that's probably a big part of my soured opinion of it.
I'm tired of the people out here who are trying to make it, have made it, or will never make it. Way too many self-serving, shallow and resoundingly boring people. Very few of them have anything actually interesting to say. Very few of them discuss anything other than themselves or their recent, past or future projects.
I need a change of pace, and a new crowd to hang with.

frankly I believe every city has things we love and hate about them.
Funny, I never considered Seville large, especially when you spend your time in the oldtown...but as Krissy mentioned, it is......the drive to the airport shows that.
I love Seville when in the old part, but HATE it once out
