Legendary music business executive Clive Davis revealed in his new memoir that he is bisexual.

“Was I nervous?” writes Davis. “Absolutely. Did the heavens open up? No. But it was satisfying.” In Soundtrack, Davis reveals that he has been in “a strong monogamous relationship” with a man for the last seven years but makes it extremely clear that he regards himself as bisexual rather than gay. “Do I feel I could have been similarly attracted to a woman?” Davis writes. “The answer is yes.”

I am surprised that he kept this a secret for so long, but I guess there is always a right time for someone to reveal a secret. Victor Garber quietly came out earlier this year.

While he is not the point of this thread, I just have to say that Victor Garber being gay was never a secret, especially in the theatre community. He has been openly gay and had a partner for years. He never discussed it in the media because no one cared to ask?

Davis was just saying on the VIew that it was after his second marriage failed, he wondered if he could have a relationship with a man, and he did. He said there is such thing as bisexualism and he was indeed that person. Good for him!

As mentioned, Garber has always been pretty open. He officially came out in print in April 2012 for a Canadian paper but I guess the US media simply paid no attention...

When some people come out, it'a an act of courage.

When Clive Davis comes out as bisexual it is TMI.

Plus...if he had been brave enough to come out of the closet decades ago, he might have inspired Whitney to be honest about the way the closet was slowly and tragically destroying her soul.

Bisexuality is an excuse. At some point, pick a side. You're either gay or straight.

You sir a narrow-minded fool and that statement reeks of it. Just who the hell do you think you are. Bisexuality is not an excuse. There are lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender individuals all over the world.

Everyone has the right to love who they want to love and if that means they are sexually attracted to both men and women then that is their prerogative and it's not for you to say it's right or wrong or an "excuse".
