Anyone wear them? I got some about 2 weeks ago--but they dried up because I lost my containers for them...so today, I got TRUE SAPPHIRE color contacts and they're pretty sweet.
I would love to try them sometime. I have naturally sapphire blue eyes, and think it would be sweeeeeet to get really dark brown, maybe deep emerald green. In junior high a friend of mine had purple contacts and she wore them for so long it was really weird to see her with her natural brown eyes (she was Italian). Last week I saw a woman with the most striking eyes I have ever seen. They must have been contacts but I don't care, I don't think I'll ever forget them. Besides the fact the rest of her was HOOTTTT her eyes were mezmorizing. They were like...a ring of green, a ring of brown, and around the pupil was GOLD. They were amazing.
The end.
I really want to try them but I'm scared. But I already have gorgeous eyes... I mean, I'm vain. :)
I wear the true sapphire and really like them. My eyes are green (closer to hazel), so that color works well for them.
I used to work for an eye doctor and if you were interested in the color contacts you could try on 'testers' in the office. (They didn't change your vision - only your eye color.) They're really terrific. Really dark eyes can't be changed a whole lot, but lighter color eyes can change dramatically. I have kind of a mousy brown eye color and I got the dark brown lenses and they really make the eye color look good!
I would die to have green eyes too...the typical reddish hair, green eyes look. My mom has gorgeous light green eyes, but I got screwed over with honey-colored eyes. Whatever. I'll try green sometime, but I don't know how well they'll show up or if I'll look weird with them.
I always wondered what I'd look like with Blue eyes (I'm a hazel-eyed redhead) but I don't like putting things in my eyes.
I'm with you, red hot. I'd love to try them, but I have a hard time trying to apply eye drops, I can't imagine trying to put-on contacts just for vanity.

...I look kind of odd. Not because of the contacts, but because of the way my eyebrows are. It looks like I have down-syndrome. :-/

People ask me if I have them a lot but I don't... I just got lucky with really dark green eyes.
Parks, those look great
OEC, the woman may have had hazel eyes. I do, and mine are usually light brown flecked with gold, but sometimes they will appear green around the edges, depending on what colors I'm wearing.

Parks, they look really cool.
My eyes are a nice dark blue. I don't really have a desire to change them, and I don't need contacts otherwise.
shameless - whoa if they were real I might have to sign up for ballroom dancing classes from her 'cause I'd want to stare at them as much as possible hahahaha
iheartheatre - mine are dark blue as well. Though I need contacts to see, it would be fun to get colored ones and randomly confuse people showing up with dark brown eyes haha.
Well, if they're perfect concentric circles, then they're probably not real, but if they're blended, they could be. But, they also might look different the next time you see them.
We're tricky that way!
I have blue eyes but occasionally wear non-perscription blue(r) coloured contacts, just for fun. Not too far off from my natural colour but they always get compliments.

this girl in my school wears blood red contacts every halloween and it always creeps the crap out of everyone. The girl is scary without them, but the red eyes just pushes it over the edge!

That is my eye. It looks creepy.
How strange is it that I had that on my computer?

I'm going to try and get contacts this year. I've had glasses since I was in fourth grade... so I'm slightly frightened.
I'm going to get deep forest green. I have kind of an icy blue/grey color right now, so they should change a lot.
Do you think contacts are worth getting? I'm just scared I'll look crappy without glasses.
Color contacts are great as long as you can't tell the person is wearing them.....There was a guy in my high school who was a fairly dark skinned Hispanic guy...very good looking, very suave...but then one day he came in with BLUE eyes....bright blue...incredibly unnatural looking.....
Now, on the other hand, I have a family at school where one parent is Hispanic and one parent is Caucasian and the girls have dark skin, but light hair and eyes. They are incredibly beautiful girls. Somehow, since it's genetic for them, it works, where as his just looked odd!
LilMiz - contact lenses are made super-thin now and once you have then in, you can rarely ever feel them. Women, as a rule, have no trouble at all putting them in and taking them out. Men have a harder time at first, but they do become comfortable with them in time. (For the most part, women have been messing about around their eyes for years - with eye makeup. Boys haven't had that advantage!
) Also - most of the time the contacts will help you see a lot better than the glasses ever did. You'll be amazed when you see the difference! But never get rid of your glasses. You keep them with you all the time as a backup for days when you can't use the contacts for some reason. (Keep them in your purse for emergencies.) I've never heard anybody complain that the contacts made them look worse than their glasses did!
singingwendy - that is very unusual. Rarely will colored contacts change the eye color that much on a person with naturally dark eyes. And they NEVER will lighten their eyes. Only opaque lenses will do that. They sell these for costuming. They usually have an odd shaped opening that you see through while the rest of the contact is opaque. I remember that 'cat's eyes' were a real popular one.
Mamie...
I think that's why it was so odd...because it's so unusual..plus he would wear them one day, then not the next...it was a bit unsettling.
I also remembering warnings out there around Halloween because with the internet it was easy to buy the different "costuming" contacts over the internet, and many of them were coming from disreputable sources and people were getting eye infections and having all sorts of vision problems. Some of those do look very cool though!
I had them.. but my eyes are dark brown, so IT didnt do much. But if you lose a contact, they are easier to find when it colored.
