No, people call me Katie. The reason it was weird is because she called me Kate. Only my parents, my brother, and Brian call me that.
Even weirder is the fact that I've started subconciously referring to myself as Kitz.

My middle name is Beth and my mom always used to write my first name as Mary Beth, so annoying. Lots of people call me that or write it as one word, it really gets on my nerves since it's just my middle name.
