The final show is still forever away.. dont get ahead of yourself missy..
Considering how loud I have to crank up the volume on my tv to have the accompaniment come through the microphone, there's no chance.
As I said, I might have time tomorrow morning. I'll just have to play it by ear.
There are lots of random Barns and whatnot in Kansas right. Why not sneak out to one of those tonight?
I'm a city girl, thank you very much :P
quick question . . . when do we find out next weeks theme?
Oh Kitzy dont lie, you know you've been in many-a barn entertaining many-a boy..
Good question Spidey.. I'm not sure..
Hmm...today's Thursday. I suppose I can announce it today. When would you LIKE to know, is the question.
(PS. Shut up, Cam. I'm hoping he asks me for a one-on-one to advise him on song choices.
)
No you're really hoping that he will sing your praises in the key of sex..
God, I don't think I've ever been in a barn. Maybe once on a field trip when I was little...
Speaking of which, Geoff texted me yesterday.
*blush*
ETA: LMAO - Kitz has the worst timing.
Yes, I do.
Here's hoping this Geoff guy knows what he's doing a little better than some of the others. I mean seriously Tiff.
And what did he have to say??
yes she has terrible timing..
He was just wishing me a happy Women's Day and telling me "r u awesome". Not too much, but I'm glad he opened up the channels of communication again since we ended on somewhat awkwardly bad terms.
and now you are going to fixate on weather you should go out with him or not..
advice hour sounds cool!
Nope! I know I'm not going to go out with him. It's just nice to have that ego boost from him, especially after that screaming row with my mother last night on how I'm too fat and should be bulemic instead of being this heavy.
Please tell me your mother did not say that...
She sure did Kitzy..
Tiff, I know you dont believe me but you are NOT fat.. seriously you mother is a bastard for saying that to you.. and the fact that you have had eating disorders in the past makes it worse.. Seriously someone needs to smack her.
Oh yes, but she did. And the funny thing is when we're not on the topic of my weight, we're actually as close as can be. I tell her pretty much everything. (Except perhaps how much I smoke.)
It started with, "This must be the heaviest you've been." I said, no, I was this heavy in the beginning of 2004 (before I dropped 30 pounds, which I've steadily gained again), and you really ought to stop saying things like this because those comments in 2004 are what drove me to become bulemic again. (We went through the anorexia/bulemia thing since I was 12.) I told her if she wants to know why Nick (my bro) is taking his best girl friend's current bulemia problem so hard, it's because he was the one who caught me throwing up in 2004, and he saw what it did to me. (My bro's a poseur hardass who was in tears a month ago when his friend was hospitalized for bulemia.) I told her she should be ashamed of herself for putting this conditional love on me, instead of going, "Hey, you know what, Tiff, you're actually doing not too bad!" and said she's setting a bad example to her kids. I asked her what made it okay to start criticizing my weight now when she was so upset about my eating disorder back then, and she said, "Well, you weren't fat then." and told me I ought to stop eating, and accused me of putting the blame on her for MY mistakes.
BTW, Cam, you're a darling. If only you and her could switch places! It's hard to believe it when I hear the opposing view every single day.
Well me telling you that is not mThat's e being a darling or trying to be nice.. I mean it whole heartedly.. There is something seriously wrong with your mother if she thinks you are fat, which she clearly does. and the fact that you hear it from her doesn't not make it any easier to not believe. It's always easier to believe the negetive than the positive.. That's jsut human nature.
That is miserable, that entire attitude that some people take (especially from a parent) really gets me boiling.
Exactly. Especially since it's not like she's the only one. I had to put up with harrassment from co-workers when I was working at the rockclimbing gym.
Working in the film industry doesn't help either. Even though I'm behind the camera, you're surrounded by stars and their equally attractive assistants, and even the crew tries to dress the best they can without looking like they're trying too hard.
I feel you on that one.. Try working at the ballet.. and I unlike you AM fat..
I would use a choice word to describe your mother, but I generally don't feel comfortable using it to describe moms I've never met before
This would be the word that I neglected to use during the Podcast, for any who are wondering.
