Warner has the potential to annoy, but Palin just makes me want to barf.

I can't see myself following DWTS if Florence Henderson gets voted off. If Palin lasts longer than Henderson, it will be an injustice.

^ See, I feel a tiny bit differently. If Florence is awful, I would not want to see her stick around. However, I still don't understand how being the daughter of a former governor who got pregnant as a teen and is in tabloids for her on and off again boyfriend who sounds like an idiot makes someone a celebrity. I sort of hope she isn't good for those reasons.

How on earth did I miss the episode of Secret Life she was on? Maybe it was during one of the moments when my head was in my hands or I was screaming at my computer screen.

When Brandy was asked if her previous dance experience will help her, she said it was different than what she will be doing on the show. Then, Jennifer Grey asked her, "What about that ballroom dancing in Cinderella?" And then Brandy said, "Girl that was camera for you."

Is it bad that I already feel bad for Kym, Mark, and Karina? And from seeing the Hills a few times, I can't picture Tony and Audrina being a good pair. I don't know, we'll see.

David Hasselhoff isn't that much older than Donny Osmond, but Donny Osmond has stage prensence and charisma. David does not have those things.

While I hope Bristol goes home first, I have the feeling it will Margaret Cho or Kyle Massey. They're going to have a hard time camoflaging (sp?) Margaret's tats and that might alienate the old farts and Kyle hasn't been prominent even in the Disney Channel universe for a couple of years.

bwl, I never felt like Edyta ever "showcased" her celebrity. I always felt like she was much more concerned with putting on her own show. I admit that sometimes they don't have much to work with, but they still need to try to make the celeb look good. Just my opinion. :)

Completely agree. My wife and I have always said this exact thing about her. Still, she's sexy, and I'll miss her. Don't understand all the hatred for Bristol Palin. Looking forward to this group!

Why doesn't Jennifer Grey count as a dancer?! Isn't she in the most famous film about dancing? It's a serious question. I saw the thing when it was in theaters, and hated it so much, I never saw it, again. My memory is that she danced in it, though. I mean, wasn't that the whole point?

I know she had a double -- and while I'm sure she did SOME of the dancing, she didn't do most of it.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

That looks like an ugly dress. I saw all of these photos and they just look so awkward. Is it just me, or does it look like Bristol could tower over Mark?

Not a huge fan of Edyta either, and yes her costumes were skimpy, but that seems to be normal for some dances. My sister dances and makes her own outfits to save money. One time she had me stand in as a model so she could pin fabric properly over a bikini, which you were supposed to see.

I have never heard about her having a double. In fact, I find it difficult to believe. For one thing, her father was a superb dancer, and his having a daughter who was not a good dancer, just makes no sense. Also, if she didn't do her own dancing, why the hell would she have been hired? It's not as if she was somebody famous, or beautiful, or was some spectacular actress (the part barely called for someone to breathe, as I recall it). Besides, I seem to recall that they were casting dancers who could act, and that the director refused to have dance doubles. I believe she is a trained dancer.

I have no idea about Jennifer doing her own dancing, but I think the fact that she was not classically beautiful was important to the story. If she had been beautiful it wouldn't have worked.
