They say viewers found Her "Too Extreme and Right Wing." I just found her stupid and annoying.

Sometimes it's best with the devil you know. What if they bring on that McCain girl? Or the Bush twins, what's her name? Jenna? [That joke was for papa, in case he's out there somewhere.]
Every week I get emails from people who want me to fail. I printed them out.

While I never agreed with her, I always thought she helped keep things interesting BECAUSE she wasn't a liberal.
(Just like these boards, it wouldn't be interesting if everyone thought the same.)

Posted: 3/9/13 at 6:53pmI do like someone with different political views in the panel than the others. But she never came off smart and was never able to convey herself. Therefore just being irritating.

Posted: 3/9/13 at 7:09pmThey can certainly find someone with a more conservative viewpoint that is at least intelligent.

Posted: 3/9/13 at 7:11pmI would love for Megan McCain to join the table. It's hard to take Elizabitch Hasselbitch seriously.

Not so long ago Bill Maher had a show where they couldn't find a "conservative" panelist. It the best show he had done in ages.
The three "leftists" didn't agree with one another at all, but because they weren't having to fend off a conservative shouting Fox News talking points, they were actually able to articulate their views and why they disagreed.
I think our right wing has gotten so nutty that most representatives have nothing to contribute to any discussion. (See Hasselbeck's nonsensical rants.)
At least with Hasselbeck I could always take pleasure in remembering her starving and losing her hair on SURVIVOR AUSTRALIA.

Posted: 3/9/13 at 8:11pmI'm with you Jungle Red! At least Meghan isn't self-righteous or annoying (at least to me). There are plenty of conservative women who do not annoy me. With Elisabeth- it's not so much her views but the fact that she tries to be funny- which she is not, her voice is grating, and I hate that she got that job because she had been on a reality show (and didn't even win) and I hate how she sucks up to Barbara and Bill Gedde. Her self-righteous attitude drives me up the wall. I loved when she tried to start a fight with Bill Maher on air and he pretty much nailed her on it. Sherri is not the sharpest tool in the shed but she has worked in the business for years. I'll take her any day over that Sheryl Underwood who's on The Talk. I also think Brooke Shields would be a nice addition to the show. She is educated, classy, and knows a thing or two about the business.

Brooke Shields would be fantastic!
I like Sherri enough, but I couldn't care less about her little boy. I haven't watched the show in years but from what I remember, that's all she talked about. Jeffery this. Jeffery that. Blah blah blah. The fact that I didn't have to look up the son's name after having not watched the show should say something. SHUT UP.

Sherri needs to go because she is uninteresting, unintelligent, and offensive. I've watched on several occasions and felt compelled to write into ABC because I was offended by what was coming out of her face. She needs to get fired, ASAP.
As for Hasselbeck; I don't agree with a word that comes out of her mouth. What I like about her is that, even though she knows she's not the popular opinion of the show/viewers, she sticks to her convictions. I admire that. I often find myself annoyed by her POV, but, she's got the balls to say what she feels.
I'll miss Joy. I miss Rosie.

Posted: 3/9/13 at 10:19pmElizabitch can have all the convictions she wants but she's an effing idiot. She uses her opinions as facts and never debates. She's always right, regardless. I can't stand watching her.

Posted: 3/9/13 at 10:40pmI don't care about Jeffrey or Sal! In fact, I hate the name Jeffrey now! I don't think it's good for any of the hosts to take too much about their personal life. The audience really doesn't care. That's why Star Jones was let go- we were all sick to death about her talking about her wedding and it was so fitting that it didn't last very long- karma! I loved Lisa Ling and the show needs to put a young person on the panel because initially, they wanted women from different stages. Elisabeth is now 35. They also need to connect with the Hispanic audience because they have not done that yet. I'm not talking about that Rachel Campo who married Sean, the MTV guy who's now a Congrssman and who has about 6 kids. They tried her out several times and she never made it. However, I hope they don't get someone from MTV or a reality show. Someone suggested Melissa Rycroft- from The Bachelor and DWTS. Geesh!

Posted: 3/9/13 at 10:41pmIt seems that the network is denying this rumor. I hope Sherri and Elizabeth both leave. I agree that Brooke Shields and Megan McCain or really, any articulate conservative would do a better job than Elizabeth. Sherri doesn't bring anything to the show, it's sad to watch her, actually, the show has been crap since Rosie left, and now that Joy is leaving, it will be pointless. They could just cancel it as far as I'm concerned.

Are you sure you're not talking about Ina Garten? She won't shut up about her "little boy" Jeffrey either.

Posted: 3/9/13 at 11:17pmThe thought of Star Jones infuriates me. When she went through her "sudden weight loss" and was asked about it, she rudely snapped at reports/inquirers, telling them that it was none of their business and how dare they ask since they only want to know for nosey reasons, not for medical reasons and that, in the end, it was no ones business because it was her private life ... yet, when it came to advertising and publicizing her wedding, her sense of privacy went SOARING out the window ... fake, phony, imbecile.

Posted: 3/10/13 at 10:36amIs Brooke Shields conservative? Also, with all due respect were speculating from a story by a magazine that's continuously wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a reality person (like Melissa Rycroft) because as much as we all loathe it, it's become a big part of our world. If I ask 50 people between 18-49, who sounded more familiar, Nene Leakes or Joy Behar? I'm willing to be they'd recognize Nene's name first. Who would I love that's hilarious and hispanic? Rosie Perez!

Posted: 3/10/13 at 12:03pmFirstly, there had been zero confirmation regarding EH' s status. Secondly, Brooke might be a good replacement, IF she had nothing else going on, but she's often got a movie or tv gig, or even the occasional B'day play, as she does live in NY. She also has pretty young kids, still. Angie Harmon has a pretty busy acting career with that 'Rizzoli & Isles' show. (which I'm shocked is even still on. ). Melissa Rycroft--don' t make me laugh. Meghan McCain, now there's a real option, IF the EH departure comes to pass. Smart and approachable Conservativ who's not an actress with a demanding schedule. However, I wonder if she'd think a long term commitment to the show, rather than occasionally guesting, would be beneath her. But it'pretty established, so...

Posted: 3/10/13 at 12:44pmI mentioned this in the Joy Behar thread, a friend close to production of The View said they are wanting Brooke Shields once she's done with her stint on "Army Wives", which would be around August, same time The View wraps. She's got young kids right, but this is the perfect job for that type of woman. You drop them off at school, go work, and you can pick them up. Not to mention, that friend said Whoopi campaigning hard for Brooke.

Posted: 3/10/13 at 12:48pmWho cares if she has kids? EH has kids (somehow). Sherri talks about her son all the time. It's not like she has to commute from LA to NYC every morning, kids in tow.
