A shame. I was really looking forward to this one. I've heard that Dunst is the standout in this one.

I always think Kirsten Dunst is great, but Orlando Bloom is horrible. The only thing I like him in was Pirates of the Carribean, but I may have been too distracted by Johnny Depp in eyeliner to give Orlando much thought. (Mmmm... Johnny Depp in eyeliner...) I agree with the review that said he was "emotionally inexpressive." I just never feel anything for him.

I hope Dunst has taken some classes cause last time I saw her (Spiderman crap and crapola) she was awful.

But I'm goi to watch it because of Paula Deen.

This kind of looked like one of those, "I want to see it....when I can rent it on DVD" type of movies.

I think Kirsten Dunst has done some good things outside of Spider-Man (where she pretty much stinks), but I really can't take Orlando Bloom. The guy makes Keanu Reeves look expressive.

Nice, Plum. A very apt comparison.

I'm not surprised this didn't get good reviews, it looks horrible. Personally I don't like Kirsten Dunst, IMO, she just can not act.

Lets all blame the actors now! Cameron Crowe has a little to do with it, too. I think he is a terrible director.

I'm interested to see what will come out on top this weekend. Elizabethtown, The Fog, or Domino.

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

I may be burned as a heretic for this, but I cannot stand a one of Cameron Crowe's movies!

It looks dreadful and as a someone who adores Crowe (Almost Famous being a masterwork) - this does upset me !

The dog who I sit for was in a Cameron Crowe movie, but she's very tight-lipped about the entire experience.

maybe he swore her to silence? or there's a gag order in effect from the acting gig in her contract?

Since she won't talk, Robb, all we have are our speculations...we also think that perhaps Cruise made her sit through one too many Scientology lectures and she's a bit brain-damaged now.

A Hack? in what way Sueleen?

A Hack would mean he just throws together junk and puts it out there?

Sorta like a Broadway Jukebox Musical!

"Vanilla Sky", while not to everyone's taste, took a year to film and edit - That's not the work of a hack..

Russ Meyer's is a hack!

As long as Paula Deen is making an appearance in this movie, I'll stay far enough away. I can't stand her.

That makes it even worse that he took a year to film and edit that piece of crap, not a good sign that after all that work that was the best he could come up with. At least Russ Meyer knew he was making crap and didn't pretend it was anything more. If the sign of an artist is knowing what he wants to create and how well he succeeds at what he sets out to do, then Mr. Meyer is more of an artist than Crowe will ever be.

This is really sad. I was hoping it would be good enough to actually get me off my a** and to the movie theatre. At this rate the next movie I see will be Harry Potter.

Kirsten Dunst makes me cringe. I love Cameron Crowe's work, but I can't bear to sit through 2 hours of her, and I'm totally neutral on Orlando Bloom. I have absolutely no feelings about him in anything he's ever done. I liked "Pirates.." because of Johnny Depp, and "Lord of the Rings" because of everyone and everything else, but I seriously don't feel anything about him.

Hate Dunst.
Love Crowe.
Eh on Bloom
Eh on Sarandon (she used to be amazing but her talent seems to be fading a bit)

My friend saw it at some film festival a while back and despised it. And she was dying to see it and wanted to love it so much.

WickRocks, to be fair, the version Crowe showed at the Toronto Film Festival was longer than the one out in theatres. He cut at least some of the crap out, if not all of it.
