At this point, I would stop following the NY Post.
i wonder why our President refuses to call it a terrorist attack. even MSNBC is asking this.
Just watched the latest press conference. While the questioning of the Saudi man as well as searching a property in Revere is documented, there is nothing being released about that info.
The White House has called it an act of terror.
'WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House does not yet know who planned and carried out explosions at the Boston marathon but is handling the incident as "an act of terror," a White House official said on Monday.
"Any event with multiple explosive devices - as this appears to be - is clearly an act of terror, and will be approached as an act of terror," the official said.
"However, we don't yet know who carried out this attack, and a thorough investigation will have to determine whether it was planned and carried out by a terrorist group, foreign or domestic," the official said.
the MSNBC report said that while the PR used the "T" word, the President didnt last night in his press conference. its odd to me that he avoided saying that himself.
Why is that odd? The President shouldn't be in the business of speculating like network pundits and people on twitter. We've seen how many reports have proven to be false in the first few hours of the attack.

Why do we have to expend any energy trying to deal with your lines in the sand, Sue? There is always going to be something you are going to seize on like a bitch with her jaws clamped in a death grip. With you it will always be something.
MSNBC also just had Tagg Romney on who was at the Red Sox game yesterday which he is trying to spin as being "at the marathon." So you must be delighted. Why not focus on the fact that you might have lost Tagg Romney to claim your own proximity to the tragedy and stop positing the merde you always posit?
whether you like it or not, its a legit question that plenty of people including MSNBC which is usually his lapdog are asking. plenty of people questioned Bushs reaction at that kindergarten class. dont be foolish, this speech was crafted very carefully, it was no accident that the word was not used. that being said, i am very happy the PR did include it. i just think sometimes he is too PC for his own good.
Here is the transcipt of his speech.http://boston.com/metrodesk/2013/04/15/president-obama-vows-those-responsible-for-boston-marathon-attack-will-feel-full-weight-justice/ed71LDxwF9RJc5Ss4PXPGI/story.html
Who said it was an accident that he didn't use the word? The only people I saw going off about it on MSNBC this morning were the inane Morning Joe pundits.

Maybe you need to reassess your definition of lapdog, then, right? I have no doubt that "people" are asking it, and in healthy democracies, people do. When people asked about Bush and his goat book, loudmouths like you called them traitors and anti-American and screamed that nobody should question our President. People SHOULD ask questions.
My question was not FOR you, Sue. It was a rhetorical question about you. I was asking why *we* need to answer your lines in the sand, which will always be coming and responses to which will never satisfy you. It's a fools game to respond to a fool.
you say people SHOULD ask questions, and then you question why i am. Are the muliple voices talking at the same time in your head again NAMO? THere are pills for that....

Try to read for comprehension. People with legit questions should ask them. People who are professional nudges, who ask questions not in a quest for answers but to be pains in the ass (like you) should also ask questions but I am asking WHY WE SHOULD BOTHER TRYING TO CONSIDER THEM AND COME UP WITH RESPONSES FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU AREN'T ASKING QUESTIONS IN A SPIRIT OF INQUIRY?
Do you understand *now*?

And now back to the repercussions of yesterday's awful events:
The official word on the bombs from yesterday is that there were the two bombs and not others that had to be dismantled.
There is now a ground hold at Logan airport. One plain with a "suspicious" bag and another that was grounded because passengers "felt uncomfortable" because some other passengers were speaking Arabic. So. Here we go.
The use of the word 'terrorism' has specific meaning, and until we know who did this and why, it would be inappropriate to classify this as terrorism.

I think it's appropriate to call it terrorism. I think it's foolish to get into a back and forth with suestorm about any of this.
NAMO your smug condescension with anyone who doesnt agree with you is tiresome. please go back to ignoring me as you have promised time and time again.
i think the Prez at times is too PC. this is one of those times. Dont makke it any bigger than that.
EDIT: well thank you NAMO for at least saying it is appropriate to say its terrorism. we agree there
Didn't the President's press conference occur at a time in which there was little available information?
And stop your arguing in this topic for god's sake.

No Sue. I have gone point by point about why it is foolish to engage with you. You clearly want people to respond to your "insight" about somebody being too PC, you clearly want to lure people down your rhetorical rabbit hole. I am calling attention to this and cautioning people to not follow you down because it is pointless..
youre calling on people to not engage with me by engaging me. brilliant!
again, cuz you disagree with someone, they cant possibly have a point... so narrow minded.
Seriously, both of you, take this elsewhere.

I tried to get it back on track with updates from this morning.
youre right Kad.
hopefully they will find out who is responsible and deal with it forcefully. its so odd that no one has claimed responsibilty. isnt that usually the point of terrorist acts?
Terrorism implies political motivation. Until we know who did this and why, it would incorrect to classify this act as terrorism.
Boston Marathon bombings: No one in custody
I hate where we are with the media now. It's SUCH a blessing and a curse. People can get away with much less, but good God the flow of instant, false information is overwhelming.
