Uh. No. The fact that Jay and Silent Bob is even ON your list makes me cry. It wasn't a horrible film, but not at all up to Kevin Smith standard.
Clerks
Mallrats
Dogma
Chasing Amy
I refuse to acknowledge the existence of Jersey Girl, and JSBSB is like the crazy Uncle that no one talks about.
I haven't had a chance to see Clerks 2 yet, hopefully Friday night.
I cracked up all the way through JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK. "I am the clit commander." I am going to give CLERKS another go tomorrow, since I am in love with the second one. I have only watched CLERKS once half way through and thought it was "ok." I am also going to check out AN EVENING WITH KEVIN SMITH documentary. That is supposed to be really funny.
Clerks
Mallrats
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Dogma
Clerks 2
I love all of them so much, but that would be the order if I absoultely HAD to choose.
I think Mallrats would have been better if:
a) They casted the other London twin as TS
b) They got rid of the cliched ending
c) They got a better actress to play TS's girlfriend
But, I still like the movie a lot!
1. clerks 2, only because it's still fresh
2. jay and silent bob strike back (as far as no one talking about it, I believe it's his hightest grossing movie)
3. mallrats
4. dogma
5. chasing amy
6. clerks
7. jersey girl
I love 'em all except Jersey Girl. Clerks 2 is def. high on the list. I loved it more than the original. And Mallrats is by far the most underrated of his films. Gotta love Lee in that one.
YES . . . Jason Lee totally made that movie. He is my favorite of the "Kevin Smith Friends" crowd. I think the thing that I really liked about JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK, was that we got to see characters from previous films and how they have lived their lives after the end of their seperate films. It brought somewhat of a closure to a few of them.

I haven't seen Clerks 2 or Jersey Girl yet, but for the rest:
Dogma
Chasing Amy
Clerks
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Mallrats
You must see CLERKS 2 asap! It is the funniest movie I have seen all year so far.
I'll play.
Chasing Amy
Dogma
Mallrats
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Clerks
Once again I am painfully deficient in the film arena.
Dogma
Chasing Amy
Mallrats
have not seen:
Clerks
Clerks 2
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Jersey Girl
First off, I frikin' love your avatar Clay
Secondly, you must make a trip to Blockbuster this weekend.
We've had Jersey Girl for ages and still haven't watched it. I think I got it used for around $5. It just looks really bad. The Sweeney reference may drag me in soon enough.
Clerks 2 is on my list of things to see if I actually go to the movie theatre, but since my ass is apparently bolted to this chair when I get in from work I'll likely wait for DVD. :)

The Sweeney thing was the only good thing about Jersey Girls, imo. I hated that movie.
Clerks 2, however, is sublime. Hilarious, and oddly heartwarming, as only a Kevin Smith fim can be. And it may be the greatest love story between 2 heterosexual men.
They are all on my list (JG singularly for the sweeney)
but my list grows ever longer.
Clerks.
Mallrats
Chasing Amy
Dogma
Jay and Silent Bob Strike back.
I never saw Jersey Girl. And I STILL haven't gotten to see Clerks 2.
Dogma. It's moving, funny and has a lot of good talking points.

In this order:
1. Chasing Amy (LOVED!)
2. Clerks (Loved)
3. Mallrats (Cute!)
I hated Dogma and Jersey Girl, never saw Jay and Silent Bob strike back, haven't seen any of the other films. Hope to check out Clerks 2 soon.
I HATE all things Kevin Smith. heh
(just for the record, my name here is a reference to the place I moved the week I discovered BWW. Not the movie or Jersey Boys.)
In order:
Chasing Amy
Clerks 2
Dogma
Jay & Silent Bob (Good for a laugh)
Clerks
Mallrats
Jersey Girl
Jersey Girl does have a second redeeming quality! JLo dies in the first ten minutes!
I'm definitely the minority.
Jersey Girl
Chasing Amy
Mallrats
Clerks
Still have to watch Dogma and Jay and Bob.

Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
But "Jersey Girl" has that little girl playing Mrs. Lovett in "Sweeney Todd" for her school talent show... singing "God, That's Good!" with Ben Affleck as Sweeney. Hilarious stuff.
I give him an A for effort on that one.
I just worked with Kevin on "An Evening With Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder." It's Kevin live, in front of audiences in London and Toronto. A 2-Disc set. It will be coming out on DVD later this fall. We did a special shoot with him for the menus that include over 14 additional minutes of Kevin goofing around on the menu screens. Very funny. If any of you saw the first "Evening With Kevin Smith," he did a similar thing for us there. But this one's even better. He's a great guy, and a lot of fun to work with.
I just found it very cool that he is the exact same in person as he comes off in interviews and such. It seems celebrities usually have an "interview personality" that they use when being filmed. You tell Kevin you enjoy his work and he starts a whole conversation. He really likes his fans. Lasy week he was doing a signing in Red Bank. (I didn't attend.) They were expecting 200 or so. 2500 showed up. He signed autographs from 3PM to 4AM. He took one 15 minute break. Nice guy.
