FoxNews does it again, White House complicit again

FoxNews has smeared an administration official, based on an edited video from a conservative website (sound familiar?). The White House, having learned nothing, has forced this woman to resign.

Basically, Fox pushed a videotape from a USDA official who spoke at an NAACP event, using an edited tape that completely misconstrued her story. It was pushed by EVERY anchor on Fox. Rather than determining if there was any validity to Fox's reporting, which there wasn't, the White House has forced this woman to resign. Shame on them all.

FoxNews is now reporting that the White House has railroaded an innocent woman. They've made no mention of their participation, nor have they posted a retraction or correction.

No one looks good here. But, it appears that Vlisak acted out of fear and without all of the facts.

This is just Acorn Part 2 - selective editing in order to smear someone improperly. The only difference is that the truth got out that much quicker. Now, the new meme is to go after the audience for its reaction to some of her statements - if you can't get the black official for racism, then go after the black audience. If it was not so transparent, it would be funny.

That being said, the Obama Administration generally has shown a lack of courage when faced with these types of attacks. It is becoming a pattern of "the path of least resistance" and that is not the kind of leader I want. He needs to say enough and stop enabling these types of attacks.

Someone should come out tomorrow and indicate even though this was a teachable moment, that much more lessons need to be learned - especially about over-reaction and insufficient investigation before conclusions are drawn and action taken.

In other words Obama, grow a pair, admit the mistake, indicate that it was imprudent and irresponsible to rely on any political advocate's reporting without doing your own due diligence, and FIX IT!
