I don't believe in forced sterilization any more than I do compulsory childbirth, but this woman is so narcissistic and selfish and disturbing it's chilling. By her own admission, she did this to fill a void she felt growing up in a distant family. What was going through the doctor's head when she approached him? No financial means? Check. No partner? Check. No stability? Check. Sure I'll do it...she'll be the IDEAL mom!
And when you plan a family, wouldn't considering the effect of expanding that family on your kids who are already here be the the loving, responsible, MATERNAL thing to do? Someone like this doesn't know the first thing about nurturing. Shame on her and shame on that doctor.

"Someone like this doesn't know the first thing about nurturing."
Which of course she couldn't know because of the family she grew up in. Where her mother talks to the media about her issues with her daughter.
These things really are circular.

Posted: 2/10/09 at 7:05pmMy friend found out her husband's boys don't swim last night and is considering in vitro. It's sad really that it's still so sensitive. There could be lots of jokes about her turning into this nutbag.

Yeah, she looks fine in pictures, it's just the way that her lips move in videos. They kind of like... warp and strain in multiple directions when she talks.

Not everybody speaks the same. Not everybody speaks in front of cameras with the unself-conscious freedom of an Idina Menzel.
Strike that. Bad example.
My point is, as Lisa Kron wrote, not everybody has the same resources. Something tells me you never saw "Well," Schmeg.

Saw her interview last night on " Dateline " she is definitely not wrapped too tight !
She said in one article that she holds all her kids 30 minutes each in one day...
multiply that 14 times .... do the math, she will have no time to do anything else in
the day !!!!!! It's pathetic !

True. Baby lady must have resources that most of us on this board don't have.

She came off as a well rehearsed douchebag in that interview. Did anyone notice how often she cut off Ann with her rehearsed answers?
The most chilling thing she said, regarding the 6 children she already had and their needs, was that they are too young to make a choice and that if they were older and said she shouldnt have any more kids, she wouldnt. WHAT?!
Also chilling were her obvious nose and lip jobs and that she clamied she never even thought about Angelina Jolie.

I love the "I'm too busy with my kids to think about Angelina Jolie," which was sort of akin to Sherri Sheprherd's "I'm too busy trying to feed my kid to think about whether or not the earth is flat."
She had time to think about French tips, though.

Posted: 2/11/09 at 9:47amI did not get to watch the entire interview, but I did see enough to conclude that this woman's actions constitute child abuse. She already has special needs children with no source of personal income, to have 8 more children by artificial means is a moral outrage. We should see more physicians involved in fertility speakin out against this abuse of science.

And, apparently, money! Plus, she still has kids in diapers and will have dozens more to change once the newborns come home. Acrylic nails will be an unsanitary nuisance.

I wonder what it would be like to be a such a dumb person that you can't think about two things at once. Or just so dumb that you think others will believe you when you say you can't think about two things at once.

I also loved how after describing how she has NO income and wont until she graduates IN A YEAR, which is when she'll be able to get a job and support these kids.
Then she talks about wanting to move into a bigger house! What world does she live in?!
