Does anyone know who played the talky restaurant manager? I can't remember if I've seen him on TV or theatre previously.

what a great episode. I was in total shock for the last 5 minutes of the episode. I have to wait till tuesday too, because I will be in the city! I personally, love Denny and Izzy together and "Meredith was absolutely not talking about the dog", I agree with who ever said that in a earlier post.

I think I was going into cardiac arrest when Izzie stopped Denny's heart. That was just so intense knowning that Dr Burke is lying there...oh wow. If they kill off Denny I'll be inconsolable. I have to wait til after it airs to watch it tonight because I'll be at my friends house watching 24. Thank god for DVR :)

I think my heart stopped along with Denny's at the end. Poor George, he is now her accomplice in this because he didn't stop her or run out and get help as soon as he saw that she was planning on doing something crazy. As far as Izzie's rant goes I can understand it a little. My dad had to have a quadriple by-pass or else he was going to die and the idiot was talking about not wanting to do it. He said that it would hurt too bad and that he had lived long enough etc... I had a total meltdown and went through almost the same thing that Izzie did and he had the surgery. Granted I didn't try to convince him to let me stop his heart or anything, I was encouraging what the doctors wanted him to do anyways, but still...

I was proud of Addison tonight, but I am a little sad for her. She just wants Derek to love her and to show that he cares. He doesn't get mad, doesn't fight, doesn't seem to show any emotion. Its so obvious that he doesn't love her anymore, he loves Meredith and I think that he is staying with Addison out of a feeling of guilt and obligation. Addison is beautiful and brilliant and she needs to leave him and find someone who can appreciate her for who she is.

This is killing me having to wait for tonight, I think I will lock myself in my room so I can block out interuptions so I don't miss anything. If they leave us hanging like this last night, what do you think they will do tonight?

Ok y'all I am completely and totally bringing the shallow right here- what time is Grey's supposed to start tonight? Because Bush is addressing the nation at 8pm tonight and I am worried about that cutting into my Grey's finale.

Yep- totally brining the shallow here.

"President Bush will order fewer than 10,000 National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to support Border Patrol agents in stopping illegal immigration, a senior administration official said Monday. Bush will outline his plan in a televised speech to the nation at 8 p.m. ET Monday, the official said."

Bush speaks at 8-8:20 but according to my DVR it's only airing on FOX and not on any of the other major networks. That could change though...

but it should be over before GA starts at 9 at any rate :)

Grey's starts at 9 Eastern, so Bush will hopefully be done yapping by then.

ok, cool- I actually found a Hollywood Reporter article about it, so far NBC has joined FOX in airing it, no word on the other two yet though. I just don't want my tiVo to get thrown off or something if the show starts later than it is supposed to because of the speech. :)

Would you believe that right at the start of Desparate Housewives a transformer blew by our house and we lost power! My husband did not understand why I was in a panic mode to get to my daughter's house before Grey's Anatomy. The good part is that I did get to watch it at my daughter's but I did not get to TIVO it like I usually do. Great episode - but I agree that when Meredith was talking about loving him she was not talking about the dog. I want her to love McVet. I love Chris O'Donnel.

yeah i'm worried about my DVR too, because I won't be home til almost 11 because I'll be at my friends house watching 24. I hope bush keeps it to the 20minutes allotted and that it's short and to the point and that ABC doesn't air it lol. I doubt they would interrupt the most hyped up season finale of one of their top rated shows. They know many fans would be outraged. If it wasn't a season finale I think they might consider it...

Why is Bush speaking in the middle of may sweeps anyway? More networks are going to be inclined NOT to play it because they don't want their shows taken off the air and lose viewers.

A guy who had been fired from a restaurant came back and shot up the place. The guy in the hospital who wouldn't stop talking was the boss that the fired guy was aiming for, but never got the chance to shoot because boss guy (jumped out a window first?) instead. The fired guy got away before police arrived at the restaurant. It was implied that fired guy came back and finished the job killing boss guy (and shoting Burke) at the end.

The President is only supposed to speak for 20 minutes at 8:00 Eastern. So Grey's Anatomy should not be affected. Luckily, we get the President live at 6:00 here in Denver and Grey's doesn't come on until 8:00. They moved the Oprah Winfrey special to next Monday because of the President's speech.

Last night's episode was great! My whole office is speculating a lot of stuff. The biggest thing is that we all think Cristina is going to have to do the surgery on Denny. I think she might have to do the surgery on Burke and still miss out on her heart surgery. Rumor has it that someone is going to turn up pregnant. I am thinking it is either Izzie with Karev's baby or Grey with George's. But that is just a rumor. And let's not forget the possible lawsuite against Addison. That may crop up tonight also. That's been quiet for the past few weeks. Izzie could get away with this if Karev and George don't say anything and Burke doesn't remember anything before he was shot. (Karev is already in trouble for exposing what Addison did. Will he do it again with Izzie? Just thinking up scenarios here!) If that were to happen, I would bet Burke gets his memory back at a key point next season. But the way their storlines are going.....who knows!!!

I am all ready for the two last hours of the finale!!!

Wait- what did Addison do?

I was proud of Addison tonight, but I am a little sad for her. She just wants Derek to love her and to show that he cares. He doesn't get mad, doesn't fight, doesn't seem to show any emotion. Its so obvious that he doesn't love her anymore, he loves Meredith and I think that he is staying with Addison out of a feeling of guilt and obligation. Addison is beautiful and brilliant and she needs to leave him and find someone who can appreciate her for who she is.

THANK YOU! Every other person I talked to today felt completely the opposite. They hate Addison and don't feel bad for her at all. Granted, she did cheat on McDreamy but I'm pretty sure she would never do that again. I feel exactly the same as you, Kel. I think she's great.

I'm excited for tonight, but I'm nervous that they are going to leave us hanging so much that I won't be able to handle a whole summer without it. After tonight, my two shows are over and I don't know what I'm going to do for the summer. Not really, but I do look forward to them every week.

I started out hating Addison, but I have grown to like her, she is a bitch at times, but she is human and she is suffering and doing her best to be professional and get her job done as she watches her husband act like a little lost puppy whenever Mer comes around. I liked Mer alot at first, but she is starting to get on my nerves a bit. Right now my heart is going out to Izzie and praying that things work out ok with her and Denny.

See everyone I talked to also hated the Izzie thing, while I thought it was cute. I'm glad someone is on the same wavelength as me. re: Grey's Anatomy

re: ABC sched tonight-

"President Bush will knock Oprah Winfrey off the air tonight (Monday). Winfrey's Oprah's Legends Ball special is being booted by Bush's last-minute scheduling of a speech about immigration issues at 8 p.m. ET. The talk show host's hour-long extravaganza is rescheduled for next Monday at 8.
In its place, on the East Coast, ABC will join a repeat of last night's Grey's Anatomy in progress following the Bush speech (which is expected to last 20 minutes); it will air in its entirety in the West. ABC will air a 30-second recap of the Grey's Anatomy episode from last night, and then join the show in progress in the East.

All four networks have now committed to airing the speech."

So sounds like East coast tiVos are all safe- even if he goes over 20 minutes when he starts talking at 8pm, the 8pm show is scheduled to start 'in progress,' and so 9pm's show is scheduled to start on time. Yay. :)

All of the networks here were talking about airing it over the weekend. So we knew he would be on every channel. I am in Denver, so the Prez. comes on at 6:00. We now get last night's re-run and the 2 hour finale in its entirety. Even if Oprah had been on, we would have seen all of her special and Grey's 2 hour finale. He is only speaking for 20 minutes so ABC could have just started everything a 1/2 hour later. They have done it before.

Ashley asked what Addison did. She tied that womans tubes without the woman signing a conscent and Karev ratted on her to the woman's husband by telling him he might want to get a lawyer.

I'm not fond of Addison, but it was good to see the lightbulb go on for her about Derek and Mer.

Not sure if anyone reads these after each episode, blogs by the writer of each episode after it airs.
