Eh. It was ok. I hated the jumping back and forth.

I liked it. I kind of wished it was two separate episodes back-to-back, but it wasn't bad. The amount of commercial breaks were annoying. The episode did get better, but I wish there was more Grey's stuff, or at least an even amount of both.

Horrible episode. Horrible execution of the idea.

Everything that happened in Seattle was fine. Everything that happened in California was boring and uninteresting.

I agree, the LA stuff was stupid.

But when Meredith's father slapped her... holy crap.

Derek can NOT leave her now though... seriously... that would be so awful. Clearly she is a mess but that would be sooooo awful if he did!

I would have much rathered two separate episodes. I didn't care for anything happening in CA. The real Grey's stuff was good, if predictable. I'm looking forward to a normal episode next week.

The Seattle stuff was great, some of the best all season. But it couldn't gather ANY momentum because it kept getting interupted by California.

But when Meredith's father slapped her... holy crap.

Best minute of the entire episode. Extremely well executed.

I loved the scene where Christina was being forced into asking Callie to be a bridesmaid.

I totally agree that the Seattle stuff just couldn't gather up any steam. Getting interrupted every five minutes certainly didn't help.

I liked Chris Lowell. That's about it. I don't really like any of the LA characters. If they want this spin-off to work they're gonna need some likable characters. I also hated the talking elevator thing. By the time is was explained I totally didn't give a sh*t any more. It wasn't funny. Also, I hope they pick a better name. "Private Practice" is too generic.

For once, I can say that I actually stopped watching about and hour and twenty minutes in and went to sleep. :/ I've never done that with Grey's.

I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.

The only reason I didn't shut it off is because I wanted to see what ultimately happened in Seattle.

Tying the elevator thing from SGH into LA was just awkward. The second time it happened, my best friend and I looked at each other and said "bet it's a guard watching on a hidden security camera." It was.

However, speaking of elevator things..... oh God. The moment with Izzie and George in the elevator... probably one of the best moments of the episode. That and when Thatcher slapped Meredith. I knew it was coming because of the spoilers (it just said an unexpected man in Meredith's life was going to slap her and I really didnt think it was going to be Derek) but it didn't make the moment any less gasp worthy.

Can't wait to see what happens next week. I'll be happy for it to be a normal episode with none of this LA bullsh!t. I kept feeling like I was watching some cracked out version of Judging Amy.

I totally agree. That was a real Grey's moment.

I loved it. I was so scared that the door was going to open and Callie was going to be standing there watching them.

One time, Patti LuPone punched me in the face...

It was awesome.

The LA chunk of the episode was just...bad. It ruined the show for me. The regular Grey's stuff was good, though. Loved Christina in this one!

I could just care less about the people in LA, it was so boring.

I hated those Los Angeles people.

Do they actually plan on getting Tim Daly AND Taye Diggs AND Amy Brenneman, and just making it a series about ridiculously good-looking doctors?

That sounded like Florence Halop (the second clerk on Night Court) as the "elevator voice", but she's dead!

I am just starting it right now, and i dont hate the LA stuff. Maybe part of it is Piz from Veronica is on it and sometimes the Grey's characters start feeling blah to me...I will watch this new one.

The LA part was just boring. Absolutely a waste of time. I really enjoy all of the actors that were a part of it, but it was incredibly boring.

Sadly, back in Seattle it was boring as well, save the wedding planning. I really hope the writers stop trying to force George and Izzie. I really loathe them as a couple.

Oh now see, I dont find the George and Izzie stuff forced at all... In fact, I've kinda been waiting for that since the George and Meredith awkwardness passed.

I kind of wish Derek had gone into the house last night though, rather than just looking in, looking defeated and walking away.

CJR- Agreed about the Derek thing. What was that about? She's drinking with her friends... guess I can't go comfort her now.

Does anyone know who played the wife of the guy that didn't want to have sex? She looked so familiar but I couldn't place her.
