I agree, usually I am not a big Cristina fan, but she does have her moments. But, he was awesome with her in the season premire.
Now, as for Callie and Erica, I have been doing some thinking. Yes, I am liking them a little more each week, but there is still something there that bothers me about them. I have been reading in different places how people are angry with Callie for going to Mark. However, we sort of don't know what really went on. Plus, I also don't see Callie as cheating just yet because they have not declared themselves as a couple yet. They are just sort of getting used to the idea. Plus, as we know, they are both only bisexual, and not lesbians. I guess Erica is just bothering me too because she just seems to be totally agreeing and going along with Callie. Well, what does she want?
I still want Burke back though
I have to say, compared to the past few episodes, tonight's is my second least favorite after the premire. I thought we were going to see more awesomeness with Owen Hunt again, but no. He was awful. At first, I did not realize the pigs were still alive. That was just all gross. There was no cool interactions between him and Cristina either.
I thought the whole thing with Meredith carrying around the stupid doll was just odd. I understand it finally helped them, but it was just too weird.
I think this was the low point for Callie and Erica tonight. Quite honestly, I don't know same sex relationships at all, because I've never been in one or am interested in one, so forgive me if my feelings are a little off, because maybe I just don't understand. I really did not blame Callie for running out on Erica in the morning. I mean, she was practically crying and admitting out loud that Callie was the best thing ever to heppen to her. I understand that Callie would be interested in her and wanting to have a physical relationship, but again, since Callie seems to be more on the bisexual level, I can understand where sex with a male would still be pleasurable. I'm just glad that Callie told her at the end because she definitely is not like Mark in the sense that he can just have sex and not feel guilty at all.
And to go along with Callie and Erica, I really had no idea that Erica was being nasty and fighting with everyone because of Callie. I remember she had been acting exactly the same way with another patient last season. So, if Callie seriously ruined her day by walking out on her, then what the hell was she doing before this episode when she was acting so nasty? This is also not the first time she has been in conflict with Bailey and the Chief. So, I kind of don't buy her being mad at Callie all day.
Izzie and Alex were just not interesting tonight either. But, I can't wait until next episode. :) It looks like Izzie is going to pay for trying to keepy Denny alive. :)
I hated the pig thing. It's definitly an issue that needs to be addressed if doctors are still doing that, but I'm with Izzie. We shouldn't be doing that any more and it was horrible and very difficult for me to watch.
I'm just starting to get into Grey's, so I don't have that much to compare it to, but I thought it was a good episode.
I also think they're handling the Callie/Erica relationship pretty realistically.
I don't usually watch the show but had tuned in. The whole pig thing was overplayed for shock effect. Usually the pigs are animals who having been used for research have reached the end of their medical use. There is a whole protocol for ethical tx of animals in this situation and it doesn't mean stabbing them. violently. This is a skills learning lab and frankly the residents are unlikely to have been there as they should already be familiar w these skills such as inserting chest tubes to reinflate lungs or dealing w cardiac tamponade. I agree it is unpleasant to watch but much of medicine is unpleasant but these are important skills that need to be learned and computerized manniquins can only me used so far.
Well, bad news for the Callie and Erica fans. Apparently, they wrote Brooke Smith out of the show after Thursday's episode. Well, just that after Thursday she will not be on the show anymore, and that's it. No actual write out of the character. She just vanishes forever like the daughter Judy from Family Matters.

I can't say that this is totally shocking either. I knew from the last episode, that ABC would end up doing something like this. Well, at least making them stop the relationship, but not get rid of Brooke Smith. I wonder how this is going to play out in the episode following. They better say something and not have it like Callie had never been interested in women ever, because that would just be total crap. But, it does give me some small little hope for Callie and Mark now. :) Yeah, I'll admit, I was starting to accept Callie and Erica a little bit at a time, but I never was absolutely in love with them, and last week did ruin it for me a tiny bit. But, I guess I should just be glad that Sara is not written out of the show because I think I would totally cry. She is one of the biggest reasons I watch the show. Well, because Callie is just totally awesome, and I don't care for many of the other characters. And as for it being a sudden departure for Hahn, I never cared for her at all.
Up until the filming of this week's episode, they didn't know Smith would be leaving. They had plans to continue it. Callie's father, Hector Elizondo was scheduled for an episode. That all changed while Thursday's episode was being filmed. They saw the episodes and became fully aware that many fans hated it. They thought it was just way to graphic, not in actions but in dialogue. I can understand where they are coming from. COME ON! Did no one else cringe when Bailey compared going down on a woman to eating sour stew on spongy bread? The storyline is poorly written. I am glad it's over. I HATE that Brooke Smith is gone. She's a fantastic actress. I am just glad Sara is safe. I just hope this means Callie and Mark will happen now.
Word is that Sara is out, too. She'll be around until episode 16 or so.
WTF????? That's it. I think I am done with the show now if that is indeed true. ABC has royally screwed this up. No reason ANYONE needs to be written out of the show. I was starting to like the show more and more, but now I think I don't care anymore.
It's still a rumor at this point, but people are trying to get confirmation. Eh, I am starting to not care. Get back to the original 5 so I can stop watching.
Very true. I actually only got into the show in season 3 because it was a requirement to watch for my Studies in Television Genre class. And of course, it had to be Sara and T.R. Knight who really made the show appealing. Season 1 & 2 were good too, when I eventually saw them, but it was definitely missing something for me without Sara. LOL! And it better just be a rumor, unless they start doing horrible things to Callie again.
Okay, I really need to stop thinking about this. LOL! But, of course, I have been thinking. I am wondering if the possibility of the rumor of Sara being written off only is occuring because people assume it will happen, since Brooke was written off. I only question this now because Brooke was the only reason she had a storyline this season, sad to say. But, without Brooke, now they have to write something else for Sara. I heard that Melissa George is now appearing as a love interest for Mark. This is all just screwed up. But you know, I feel like it would make no sense to keep Sara around until episode 15 or 16 if Brooke is the reason she might or might not get written off.
She's under contract and they have to pay her for a certain number of episodes anyway. They might as well keep her on. It could be all false, but if Mark is going for someone else, she has no ties to anyone on the show. Bring her back to Broadway.
Yeah, she should definitely come back to the east coast. :) I definitely don't like how they have not given her much good material since the beginning of season 3, and have only put her in with Mark and Erica this season.
Rumor has it that Sara quit when Brooke was fired but she has to work out a 10 episode notice or something.
Anyway... back to the show. So, it's the next day after Callie got lessons from Mark. Owen was in Joe's bar and said that the next day was his first day at Seattle Grace. Now, it's his first day. So... one night has passed. In 48 hours, Callie had bad sex with Erica, sex lessons from Mark in the on call room, "take off your pants" sex with Erica in the on call room, "awesome" sex with Erica, theory testing sex with Mark and then MORE theory testing sex with Mark. Callie had NO medical case to work on this week. She just had a lot of sex. Her vagina would fall off.
I really liked the rest of the episode. I liked Cristina in the opening scene and the whole pig thing. Tonight should be interesting.
Yeah, I am just going to not believe the rumors until either Sara comes out and says something herself, or it ends up out in the news anyway.
Good points about the last episode though. And actually, as I mentioned in the other post, apparently Callie and Erica get into a fight about Izzie, with Callie defending Izzie. Uh, because that is so believeable after what Izzie did to Callie. And there are just rumors that because of the fight, Callie realizes she isn't into girls as much as Erica is. But then again, why is Shonda saying Callie is a lesbian then?

Either way I hope Sara comes back to "The Great White Way" I miss her!!!
Good episode. I REALLY like Owen. I am starting to like Lexie. God help me, I liked Izzie, but her "talk the guy into the surgery" speech could be seen coming from a mile away. I don't really get Erica turning on Callie about the whole sexuality thing. Up until a little while ago she thought she was straight. Now she's telling Callie she can't be bisexual?
Ok, can't they just let him go...every single time I cry. Not to bring up the overused phrase, but SERIOUSLY!?!?
I didn't cry, but I just don't get why he has to keep coming back. Okay, the old dude made me cry. Not Denny.
Yeah, I enjoyed the episode as well. And yes, the old guy did almost make me tear up. That is a rarity for me with a television show. The last time that happened was with that ASPCA commercial with the Sarah Maclachlan song.
Yeah, I just did not understand Erica tonight, and now we will never know. It's not even the relationship at this point that I'm glad as a character, she's gone. She was just totally irritating and nasty. I just find it a bit funny now that I had been saying for so long that I did not like her at all, and people were telling me I was nuts. Well, now that she's gone people seem to be like, "Oh, I didn't like her anyway." Well, where was that when I had that opinion from the beginning? Again, it is only Brooke Smith I feel bad about, but Callie is totally better off without Erica after her departure. I even really hated them kissing in the finale, but because of Erica's attitude before Callie did that.
Now, next week. I want to know why Callie is crying from the preview we saw. I've seen pictures from it, and it looks like an interesting episode.
Shonda said she would mourn. I am sure she does the whole, "I'm fine" thing and then finally breaks down. At least Mark is there.
Right, I forgot about that part. People are now talking on the IMDB boards how they think that Hahn is dead and that's why she's crying. Or more that they brought her in or just her heart or something like that. I am thinking that is not right because it was said that Brooke only got that last scene, and that's it.
I don't think she's dead. I think she's just gone. If she was dead, Callie would break down upon finding out, not in the OR. (Which is SO out of character for Callie.) The thing is, where did Hahn go? She worked at Mercy West before. It's not like she would just leave town. Stupid.
So, word from someone anonymous who claims to know is that Sara was here when word came down that Brooke was fired. (It was the weekend of Al's memorial in the city.) They SAY that Sara quit the show the moment she got back to LA, but she has to work out a 10 episode notice. I don't know that I buy into it. I guess we will see.
