He's just there for an 8 episode arc, I think.
No big ones yet. They should be out tomorrow.

Awesome, thanks for sharing. I always forget that site exists. And of course, Sara looks gorgeous. :)
And I just finished watching TMZ, and they pretty much just made fun of Katherine Heigl for loving some random puppy she saw somewhere. Strangely, the guy holding it looked like T.R. Knight's boyfriend, but it wasn't him. Okay, now I'm afraid that they would make fun of me for talking to my pets and the animals at the shelter I care for once a week. Good thing TMZ is a tabloid source.
I think maybe I am excited for the show now... maybe.
Awesome! Hopefully all the pictures we have seen of Sara, means that she'll be in the episode a lot. And is it just me, or does it look like she let her hair grow out a bit? It just seems a bit longer, not that it matters. She has such gorgeous hair. :)
Oh, and I was right about the one guy with the puppy with Katherine Heigl was T.R. Knight's boyfriend.
Has anyone seen these rumors to happen for the season premire? They are from Ausiello, and one is completely true for real life, one is true only happening in Meredith's mind, and the other two are completely false.
Here they are:
1. Rose stabs Derek.
2. Derek suffers a heart attack and is visited by the ghost of Denny.
3. Dr. Burke returns to Seattle Grace and shoots Derek in the face before turning the gun on himself.
4. In a flashback, we learn that Derek got into a car accident shortly after leaving Meredith in the candle field.
In my opinion, the true to real life one is #1. However, I do not believe it is the literal sense. Since we see that #4 does happen, it could lead up to #1. Actually, I think Shonda did say that Derek does not get into an accident. So, I think #4 might be the one that happens in Meredith's mind.
As we know, Derek leaves to go tell Rose that he's breaking up with her. Well, that could end up taking a long long time because we don't know how Rose is emotionally with break ups, and that could lead to Meredith thinking and believing that Derek was in the horrible accident, when really he wasn't. And then Derek could have told Rose to leave him and Meredith alone, which Rose agrees to, but then stabs him in the back by claiming that she's pregnant, when she really isn't to keep Derek. The other reason I believe #1 is going to happen for real is because it has the least discription, which means anything can happen. The other 3 have too much detail to keep us guessing.
Well clearly Burke isn't coming back since he had that huge falling out with the entire cast/crew
Shonda said that Derek would NOT be in a car accident. She's a liar.
Yeah, that's why I assumed #1 is the real happening. #3 seems the least likely to happen since Isaiah Washington was let go. Plus, it would be too much for a premire, or actually for the show. #2 is just stupid. Why would Derek be seeing Denny? I don't even think they were ever in any scenes together, so for Denny to come to Derek makes no sense at all.
There are some crazy sneak peeks out there. One is the scene with Derek in the ER. I have a good feeling that really is not real now because Bailey calls time of death, and Derek clearly will not die this season.
And for us Sara fans, she is in another PSA for voting. Basically, it's the same as the ones for voting no on proposition 8, except more general this time.

Bumping this up. Only 2 more days to go! :) I am really hoping that this season picks up like the last 5 episodes of season 4. There were some good episodes in the beginning, but not as good as the end. If it does end up being bad, I really would not mind turing it into the Callie and Alex show. They are honestly the only characters I can stand.
BUMP! Only one more day!!
I'm not. Not yet, anyway.
So yay! Has anyone seen the newest promo for tonight? Well, it was only posted on Greysanatomyinsider.com yesterday. Seems interesting with all we have seen so far. Okay, I know they take things out of context for these, but in one part Hahn is standing next to Callie and says something like "You are going to take all of this guys blood out of him?" Actually, that makes sense because in another one, the chief is talking to Callie about freezing some patient, and then in another one she doesn't seem to know what to do about a patient I guess. So that could be interesting, unless it is just a dream thing.
And there was also a really cute moment with Mark and Callie in this. I say even if they do not end up being more than friends this season, it's better than nothing with them. I'm still not sure about the Callie/Hahn relationship. I guess we'll see what happens. I can't stand Hahn and her rudeness. Callie does not need that in her life.
I guess I could care less about Meredith/Derek. They have always been a boring couple to me.
I've hardly seen any previews for this season. Isn't Derek supposed to get in a car crash or something?
I swear, I think Shonda Rhimes wants me to pound my head into a wall or something. That had to be the most mediocre season premire ever. 2 hours, and like nothing happened. What gives? Even the Rose crap was boring, although she is totally stupid.
Okay, the Cristina stuff was interesting, except the whole thing about getting stabbed with the icicle looked totally fake. And what happened to the Callie/Mark scene from the promo I saw today? I also would have liked more about Callie and Hahn. I mean, it's good at the end that they both admitted to never being in a relationship like that before, but I hated their stuff before that. I hope it picks up in the next episode, or I will be disappointed and be glad that I decided not to get excited over the coupling before I could really see it.
And just in my own opinion, Sara was very underused again tonight. Hopefully that will change again. And now I'm mad that the next episode isn't for 2 weeks. Boo!

Meredith has gotten completely unbearable; I want to strangle her with her own hair. When Cristina exploded, yelling "Shut up, shut up!" over and over again, she seemed to be speaking for the audience. And must we hear a treacly pop song in the background EVERY TIME someone is about to die?
I agree. Actually, I've never liked Meredith, but tonight was the worst by far. I hope they aren't going to pull a switch and make Izzie the likeable character this season, and turn Meredith into the annoying one. I think this actually might be the first episode ever in a long time where Izzie did not annoy the crap out of me. Let's see how long that lasts.
It was okay. Best I can say. I thought Hahn was likable for once. Callie wasn't Callie until the last 10 minutes. (Hate Sara's hair all bone straight.) Cristina was the poo! (SHUT UP!) I like Owen. I don't give a damn about Izzie or Alex or Lexie or George or Mer or Derek. I loved that Rose had some balls the whole episode until they fell off in the last scene. That was crap. She stood her ground the whole two hours and then left surgery for peds? I call bs.
And HELLO... how would that icicle last in her body for THAT long? Her body temp would have melted that crap way before he finally pulled it out. Stupid, Shondaco.
She stood her ground the whole two hours and then left surgery for peds? I call bs.
She said 'peds' and the first thing I worried was that this was SHonda code for Rose is actually knocked up, and omg going to work with baaaabies too...
And the icicle not melting was a total fail. Like, failed fourth grade science fail.
For two hours worth of Greys the whole thing was pretty... eh.
But speaking of schmalzy pop songs of death, does anyone know the title/artist of the one that had the "I'm not a princess, this is no fairy tale" lyrics? That one I actually kinda liked. And Google is giving me nothing but other people who were watching Greys and are now asking about that song, lol. (eta: nevermind, I think it is "White Horse" by Taylor Swift)

JerseyGirl2: I agree with you about Sara's hair. After the show, I was talking to a friend of mine who didn't even notice her hair so it's nice to come here and see that someone else shares my opinion. :)
I also agree that the show was just OK tonight. The icicle injury was corny. I really liked the military doctor though. I'm hoping he'll change his mind and decide to take the job at Seattle Grace.
Yeah, as bad as it sounds, after Cristina fell outside, I knew the icicle was coming. Okay, maybe it doesn't help that we see it happen in one of the promos, but because of that, I think it made it predictible.
I think my favorite line all night was from Callie about being virgins still. That made me laugh a bit. And oddly, Lexie had some of the funnier stuff too. And I'm really disappointed that George has become a total idiot after Izzie. Sure, I know that was happening last season, but he was a character I really liked, up until all the Izzie crap. It's like she has that sort of curse or something. She is a stupid character, so anyone who deals with her like that becomes stupid.
And I have mixed feelings about Sara's hair. I think having it straight like she had it is a good change sometimes, but not all the time. I think it worked better at the end of last season because some of the front was layered a bit a guess, giving it some shape and a little volume. It looks like she hasn't cut her hair at all.
Oh well hopefully in two weeks will be more interesting. It certainly did by the previews.

I agree that they DID NOT use Sara enough!!! I mean my God it's the season premier and they barely even touched on the fact that Callie and Hahn kissed last May and a new romance is starting. I was waiting for Sara to stand up and start singing "Diva's Lament" cuz they were "half way through act 2 and she had nothing yet to do."
I actually really like Schyler Leigh as Lexie, I think she's too cute and made me laugh a few times tonight.
Overall it kind of felt like a "middle of the season" episode, not enough POP for a season premier, but enough going on to keep the plot going (if that makes any sense whatsoever).
i actually thought it had a lot of pop, or at least it sent up a lot of potential story lines for the season. It made me excited about the show again.
Is an icicle the best that they could come up with? Really Shonda Rhimes? Really? And then hours passed and it didn't even melt? Fail.
I wish Derek really did get in a car crash and die or something. At least that would have made for a more interesting season premiere.
