Has anyone seen the trailer for this? Looks pretty disturbing. Patrick Wilson plays a 32 year old man who picks up a 14 year old girl in an internet chat room. Was a favorite at Sundance. Click below for the trailer.

Yes.
This is quite a psychological thriller rather than a slasher/horror flick. It's a cat and mouse game which switches back and forth between who is the predator and who is the prey.
It opens on 4/14 and I can't wait to see it. It got major buzz at Sundance, got a distributor right away and recently won top awards at SITGES. This weekend it's been shown as part of the Palm Springs Film Festival. It's got a page on IMDB and a Movie Tome page and the official site is under construction.
Here's the poster. It is PERFECT. Is Hayley the unsuspecting Prey...or is she the bait to lure Jeff into the trap? (Just FYI, Ellen Page was 17 1/2 when she filmed this--those she plays 14 quite convincingly..)

I knew Beacon would be all over this one.

Mister Wilson would expect nothing less, would he not?

Looks interesting. But the coda "acclaimed at Sundance" usually means "terribly bland" these days.
I think at this point Mr. Wilson would be scared if you didn't know something about this. Talk about a sign of the end of his career!

LOL. Yes, if Mister Wilson stops seeing "beacon1" on this board it would probably make him nervous.

Right, because if you're not here then you are probably in the bushes by his window or something. LOL
Anyone have a link to the trailer?
Does Patrick get naked again in this one? (crosses fingers)
Yeah...there's a link to the trailer in my original post.
Found it!

Still, anyone know about Patrick nudity possibilities? Please advise. :)
You didn't have to look that hard. The link is in the first post on the thread. Dear me. And I am taken aback there's a thread about Patrick Wilson that's NOT started by beacon1.

pcb...it's all a ploy to lull him into a false sense of security... (btw...did you know he dated Scarlett Johansson?)
And as for nudity, here's a comment from someone who saw "Hard Candy" at Sundance (posted at The Lair website)
"there aren't any love scenes in Hard Candy...and the most you'll see of Patrick is the top of his very muscular thigh... "

Yes I did know he'd dated Scarlett. I decided he broke up with her because her voice was deeper than his .
His voice is soooo sexy! I love that boy. Maybe even moreso than *gasp* beacon1!
hehe, just joking, beac. Patrick's all yours, but I'd love to be on standby... after we get rid of that wife of his. :)

Well...It looks like (pics from POTO event on Monday) that Dag's quite pregnant so I think she's pretty well dug-in for the long haul.
And, his speaking voice is so sexy and his singing voice is liquid gold...

This is from the desertsun article about must-see films at the festival:
Hard Candy
6:30 p.m. @ Camelot
A 32-year-old fashion photographer invites Ellen back to his Hollywood lair with unexpected results in this psychological thriller unlike anything you have seen yet. The spine-chilling exploration of sexual politics, vengeance and justice in “Hard Candy” is bound to inspire controversy and Ellen Page masterfully shows off her acting chops as 14-year-old Hayley Stark in a mesmerizing performance.
-- Programming Director Carl Spence
Its controversial subject-matter is earning it a lot of low scores, but if you can get past the fact that literally the whole film is disturbing, the performances are outstanding. You won't see anything sexually inappropriate, this one is psychological thriller all the way.
