"-I never called people immature and stupid because they ate this - I called them that based on their immature reactions to my thread, as in"

SORRY, WRONG......your original "immature/stupid" post is below.....and you certainly DID call them those things for eating it.

"Wow, now there's a notion I've never heard of before.

I guess I just don't understand how someone can sit there and order something that they know a living thing suffered for.

Whatever. You're all too immature and ignorant to actually see a problem with this. Hopefully Karma will get you."

I agree iflit, but you know......if someone offends me or people I know, no matter what their age, I will call them on it........I probably acted the same way at his age about something, but had people called me on it, I might have done things differently the next time.

At that time would you have acknowledged it, or would you have remaind defiant while secretly taking note of the reactions?

I know that I did not call people names, or call them idiots, etc.......that I know. I'd like to think that if enough people said something I'd have looked at how I communicated, but....who knows?

Just FYI - I did eat a hamburger after I said I would. So, it wasn't immaturity. It was hunger. (And you reminded me I had one waiting for me that I didn't finish at dinner.)

Calvin - well said. I don't have a problem with people not eating pate after learning how it is made.

After going to the Amish country I thought I would never be able to eat meat again. But while there, for dinner, I had meat.

But in the case of Munk, this isn't the first time he's posted something where he talks about another cause he's supporting, or not supporting. When people don't care, he gets upset.

I have no problem with vegetarians. Of course, I could never date one/live with one because it would most likely change my lifestyle. But, I suppose, if the bond was strong enough, we could work somehting out...

Yes, the name calling is wrong Elphaba. No need for that at all. And there are more important things to discuss as Kringas said. I agree with you both.

Trying to make a point is commendable, but alienating other opinions, sort of cancels out your original intent.

"Two of my ex's are vegetarians. I have eaten their meat."

Hats off to you.......and you should grab that for your quote before someone else does.
