So...are lions bad because they rip apart their food?
Man has evolved from Homo neanderthalensis all the way to Homo sapiens sapiens. We, the meat eaters, have rightfully earned that second sapiens.
Why do you always get so pissed off at people who don't care about HOW. It tastes good. It's a delicacy. It's a part of life.
Dogs are different. When a duck listens to me, I will protect it from foie grasation.
Dogs are higher up on the evolutionary chain.

Did you have to bump this up just to be a jackass?
Lions hunting their food comes naturally to them.
Eating meat comes naturally to humans - yes - there's no denying that.
What isn't natural is when a man forces a pole down a duck's throat until it basically dies. That's not natural.

Well, by that same argument, it isn't natural to live on life support.
IV's aren't natural.
Computers aren't natural.
A duck's purpose it to become foie gras. I'm sure it says it somewhere in the Bible under the section of things that Are and Are Not Natural.

Ducks are on the earth for the sole purpose of their diseased livers?
You are, by far, the most ignorant and incessantly irritating person I have ever encountered on these boards.

Munk - do you know what ignorant means?
Just because I like paté and don't care how it is made does not make me ignorant. It makes me heartless.
good for you munk, my cows support ya
Free free, set them free...
Whatever. You're all too immature and ignorant to actually see a problem with this. Hopefully Karma will get you.
stupid statement..(and reflective of your age)......again, IN BIG LETTERS.......I AM MORE CONCERNED WITH IRAQ, IRAN, THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE IN THE US WITH NO MIDICAL BENEFITS, AIDS, THE AMOUNT OF HOMELESS PEOPLE IN THE US AND WHAT LITTLE IS DONE, DRUNK DRIVING, THE EASE OF BUYING GUNS, ETC.....
Just because I and others do not see damn ducks as a problem does NOT make anyone immature and ignorant.
In fact your posts on this subject are what is immature.
I could care less what you eat, meat, veggies, whatever....and your notions of others treat vegetarians shows your immaturity.
Grow-up, damnit......and if you want to give us information, fine. But do not become a child stamping his/her foot because we don't embrace it or you as God for telling us.
One wonders, a serious question, do vegetarians wear leather shoes or other leather products?
I am serious . Yes there are many other pressing problems to worry about
well, it even goes beyond that......does he have any idea where his clothes are made? Or the conditions people are forced to endure to make them to make almost no money in the Far east..I mean this could go to the extreme where one just sits around and does nothing becase it may hurt something on the planet.
Or diamonds. I've made a conscious choice not to buy diamonds. A really tough vow to follow, yet? But if any of you ever have the misfortune of dating me -- you'll never get diamonds as a gift. Unless they're the diamonds made with nanotechnology, not mined.

Well, there's a grandfather clause in my ethics for that, darling.
Oh good.
Otherwise, I was gonna say, "That's the LAST time I let you put a tube down MY throat and force-feed me!"
*gasp* PJ, I thought that was OUR, you know, special thing.
Shut up and keep eating, WonderWaiter! YOU'RE NOT FAT ENOUGH YET!
My liver is positively pickled from years of alcohol abuse, I should warn you.
That's a flavor of foie gras that I'll drink to... marinated.
Is it cruel to wish I could eat this thread?
If you force excessive amounts of alcohol down my throat, I don't call that abuse. I call it Thursday.
And you can't really call it "forced."
Shh. Thursday is "Fantasy Night".
Now this is what I call a thread-jack.
Not sure why Munk appeared to push so many buttons, but is there something wrong with someone being passionate about something? This is the first that I ever heard about Foie Gras torture. I have had Foie Gras before, but now the behind the scenes story is on my mind. Will I eat it again.....not sure. I will be thinking about this post though. Isn't that what creating awareness is about?
