So, should I just watch the clip episode of Myth Busters instead? I'm still debating.

I actually laughed out loud at a few of the one-liners, but mostly because of the delivery from Jane Leaves and Betty White. So far I don't care much for the other two girls. I can't say I'm hooked, but I'll give it a shot. If I'd judged Golden Girls solely on the pilot episode I probably never would have watched another. Does no one remember Coco, the gay cook?

That's too bad, because it's a pretty good cast.
It started last night on TV LAND, which means they'll rerun it every 10 minutes.

I read Betty White's character is a pot smoker, but she always says she won't do drug jokes. I guess Betty doesn't believe pot is a drug. Go Betty!
It was a little better than I thought it would be. Not something I plan on watching on a regular basis though.
I would give it another try. I understand a different writing team was brought in after the pilot got picked up.

If that's true, I might try again. Otherwise, there's no point.
The pilot was a complete hackneyed cliche'.
I actually liked it. It's not groundbreaking but I was smiling for a half hour an laughing as well. I think it has potential and is off to a solid start.
I don't have the cable, so I haven't seen it. Love the cast, tho. Keeping fingers crossed.
Give it some time to develop people! It only had a pilot where they had alot to establish. It's a killer cast-let's hope the writing sharpens and the characters develop nicely. Wendy Malick looks killer- I can't believe she is 60!!!
Betty is great. I love her playing jaded, bitter and cynical. :)

They did have some decent one-liners, but for me there was a lot of dead space in between. Let's hope the new writing team that was brought in after the pilot can tighten things up.
I also admit that I will be tougher on a show set in Cleveland, being from there, and seeing how much effort Drew Carey took to actually personalize his show to the city with regards to references to neighborhoods, landmarks, personalities, and actually using the city itself for a majority of the establishing exterior shots. Other than Valerie Bertinelli wearing an Indians shirt you could have replaced "Cleveland" with any other mid-western city without having to change a thing.
Valerie also referenced a few of the arts that are local to Cleveland when she was discussing why she liked it.
You can watch it on-line, Borstalboy.

Never judge a show by its pilot. I hear it gets better.
And Betty's on fire!

It's great to see Valerie back in comedy and not some stoic Lifetime flick. She looks great and is having a great time!
I was laughing a lot during the show. who played Hank, the plumber? he looks very familiar but I can't remember where I've seen him before.
