He was the worst Harold Hill I've ever seen.

Thanks for posting the link, CATS. Just watched it - and while not perfect - it was cute. I can hang on for a few more weeks to see how it progresses just based on the likeability of the cast.

Call me crazy, but I like sitcoms taped in front of studio audiences.

well Val has a Schneider back in her life as a handy man.

I didn't catch this but I will. I love them all. I loved Wendy on Just Shoot Me too. I think this is a stellar cast and it should work.

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel.

I really enjoyed it! A few of the lines had my laughing out loud. I do think the "studio audience" thing is distracting.

A studio audience is one thing, but the laugh track is obviously HEAVILY sweetened to the point of being distracting. They need to tone it down.

I know it airs on TVLand, but in TVs current state, I'm surprised this even made it into production.

It seems like it would be better suited for the 90s, along side Full House and Family Matters.

Anyone else still watching this? I think it's gotten better with every episode and is just flat out hilarious now.

I'm loving it. And I guess they've been picked up for a second season, so yay.

They certainly have had the best set of guest stars ever.

That stuff last week about Carl Reiner not "Going Downtown" with Betty White had me crying from laughing so hard.

TV Land is havin a Hot in Cleveland marathon today. I'd never seen it and have been catching it throughout the day. The show itself is cute but I'm simply LOVING the all the guest stars:
Carl Reiner, John Mahoney, Huey Lewis, Mary Tyler Moore, Bonnie Franklin, Jack Wagner, Melanie Griffith, John Schneider, Susan Lucci, Jon Lovitch, Steve Lawrence, Shirley Knight, Juliet Mills, Hal Linden, Tim Conway!

How lovely to see memorable faces from tv of yesterday! The quests alone make slogging through the shows worth it!

The first season was better than the second. I haven't caught up onb season three yet, but I hope it hasn't declined further -
but yes, the sitcom-related guests are great especially the ones already familiar with the cast from other shows like Peri Gilpin, Bonnie Franklin and of course Mary Tyler Moore.

I hope Betty White wins another Emmy this year.

I really do enjoy the show. The writing can be a bit pedestrian, but the cast more than makes up for it. It reminds me of the good old-fashioned sitcoms before they had to have a quirky hook.
