"I was looking for the one's with the nuts..."
"It's a box of CREMES!"
I am also boggled by ABC Family. All the teens are sexually active on the network, one has a baby, some of the teens have like killed people on that 'dirty little girls' show or whatever it is. I just dont understand TV. When I was a kid, "Mr Belvedere" had a warning before an episode where Kevin lost his virginity and my parents made me turn it off.
I saw HUGE once. It was pretty good, but he never called me again.

So true SNAFU, once you experience HUGE, you really start to appreciate average in a whole new light.

It's a good show. Weird, but good. It's also pretty hilarious! My cousin says it makes Nikki Blonsky unlikeable, but another friend loves her in it. The only thing I would change is the lighting for the night scenes. For some reason, they just dont look right.
BTW, ABC Family has been doing a great job with Pretty Little Liars! It's the best show on that channel since GREEK!

Someone should do a retrospective about losing your virginity on TV- Who was the first, who was the funniest, the sexiest.
I never watched Mr. Belvidere but remember Michael J Fox doing it on Family Ties. He got a job delivering groceries and a bored housewife invited him in and put the moves on him. He was scared and nervous and blurted out "I've never done this before! Delivered groceries, I mean!!"
And who was it that emerged from the experience saying "I feel like Columbus after discovering a new world!"? I can picture the scene but can't recall the show.
And Mike Seaver on Family Ties but I imagine he ended up not going through with it. There were a mess of 90210 kids- David, Donna, Brenda, Brandon.
I actually have only seen one episode and it is very well done. I also have a deeper respect for Blonsky who is clearly such a committed actress that she agreed to be seen in a very unflattering light. She's incredibly committed to the part and is incredibly vulnerable both physically and emotionally on the show. I give her mad props.
I saw the first episode and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I lost the station when we went to digital and I only have basic cable. (Yes, I know it is not a basic cable station but they had to open a filter for my phone to work. When they went digital it went away)

There's a lot wrong with this thread. First, I'm irritated at being baited into discussing a show on a thread by someone who joined just to promote the show. On the other hand, they were open about it, so I'm only mildly irritated.
Second, about the post just before mine with the link to the anti-Huge FB page. Really? Exploiting? I think it allows people get to know the characters and care about them and see the person rather than the exterior. I'll admit that it's a tad heavy handed sometimes, but yes, I've watched every damn episode so far and I've liked them.
And I'll second whoever said that Nikki Blonsky is brave. Hell, I think most of the actors are brave.
Weight is a struggle and being overweight, especially as a teenager, can be devastating. I'll watch these kids anyday over the trials and tribulations of the entitled skinny little bitches from the Upper East Side.
Anyway, back to the banter. Hope I haven't broken the momentum.
