At least it wasn't skinny! I hate skinny threads.
Tomorrow is my last day of work, and then I move down to Ocean City on Wednesday next week for Tom Sawyer rehearsals. Wooo!
BB, your leaving that job? I love your Pam stories at that office!
SAMN, those pics are fantastic. Classic!
shh, I'm glad you are lovin' Mad Men. Best show on tv IMO.
Clever, since I'm going back to school full time at the end of August I can't do that and my job. I'm really sad to be leaving though
Wait BB, Ocean City as in Ocean City, Maryland?? If so I'll be there on Vacation with my Family (well we'll be camping on Assateague Island, but whatever) the 16th - 22nd! I get to spend my bday on the beach
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofuAww no, it's Jersey. That would have been perfect too cause it runs Aug 18-20! Darn!
Hey, there's a chance I might be in Assateague around that time! Weird!
A few ladies in my office just told me they're taking me out to a bar after work tomorrow AND that they're making me lunch
I'm really gonna miss it here. Guaranteed I cry tomorrow.
BB- looked at your blog today and I'm loving the polyvore musical-inspired threads! Haha!
aww, what a nice thing for the office ladies to do for your last day.
yeah...your gonna cry.
Kels and Schmerg, my dad is trying to talk me into coming to Ocean City for a few days. He refuses to understand why I'm not driving 11 hours for a few days.
So, a few months ago, my crazy ex-roommate/friend FB friended me. I ignored her request but then she asked again and I said yes. Since then, neither of us have said a word to each other.
So, today she wrote on my wall that she's coming to town (she's since moved to NYC) with her (even wackier and really annoying) friend and we should hang out!
Now, mind you, when I moved out of our apartment, she turned into a raving lunatic. The gas bill was under my name and she refused to call and get an account w her name on it (mainly because she owed them a ton of money from a previous apt). I gave her ample notice that my account would be closed and she better get one on her own, etc. Well, the gas company wanted to come in and physically turn off the gas and she FLIPPED out on me and threatened me ("You'll be sorry"). Basically, she wanted me to keep the account open until she could find another poor roommate to open a new one. Yes, she wanted me to pay for her gas once I moved out. I had to get the landlord involved and everything. This is only the tip of the iceberg of crap I dealt with from her.
So, long story short..I really don't want to see her. My life is much less toxic without her in it. Do I just ignore the post or say "um, no thanks."? OR, do I accept this olive branch that she's apparently offering? Bottom line is that I do not want to be her friend anymore.
Sorry for the rambling rant!
DON'T SEE HER!! If she is just coming to town for a short visit, you could just make an excuse that you are just too busy, if you don't want to be too blunt.
I say cut all toxic people out of your life. It is my motto.
I actually have many mottos, as you can well imagine.
This is what I imagine the IEGAB get together in 2010 to look like.....
Hells, you ARE the one on the left.
LMAO Danmag- That's freakin' awesome
newgirl- Don't see her!
newgirl, if you don't want to be friends with her, there's no real reason to accept the olive branch anyway. It's better to cut off contact altogether.
Also, I saw (500) Days of Summer yesterday on your recommendation! You're right...it was really, really good. Not too artsy to annoy me, yet done very well. My mom loved it so much that she's making my dad go back with her tonight! So, thanks for the great rec!
newgirl, I will reiterate what the others have said. Kick her to the curb.
Hey, newgirl you're in Chicago right? Chris is interviewing for a job (had a preliminary phone interview today and the head dude is supposed to call him on Monday) for a company based in Chicago and if he gets it (please God) he'll be doing 6 weeks of training there.
JAG, I'm glad you liked it. It had a hipster edge to it, but it had a sense of humor. Absolutely loved the scene of Tom's triumphant walk down the street. And the guy that played his friend at the card company..the guy that did drunk karaoke..that is Christina Hendricks' fiancee.
Yes, Mauri and I are both in Chicago, Stock. It would be awesome if he got the job. If you or Chris need any recommendations for fun things to do, let me know. It's a great city in the summer and fall. Winter can be harrowing.
danmag, we'll sure look hot!
Tomorrow is the last day of summer school! But I have a buttload of homework to do tonight and I'm pulling a C- in that class. Let's hope I can keep it from going to a D!
Good luck, SAMN! You can do it!
I'm drinking Jack Daniels straight up, by myself, watching The Lost Boys. WHAT HAS MY LIFE BECOME? At this point, I'll be lucky if I end up like those ladies in danmag's picture.
